Been travelling about a fair bit lately, did a big fascia in Macclesfield, flatcut sign in Hale and worked on some pretty testing surfaces. From doing a Roller shutter in Oxford to stencilling henna patterns and waves in Blackpool to a pebbledashed wall in the lovely village of Easingwold, North Yorkshire. Then back to manchester to paint 40 table tops, 2 walls and toilet doors in the city centre. Certainly glad the last fortnight is out of the way.

Been a busy few months. Racking the miles up. Lots of pubs, from Bury to Sunderland to the Wirral. Back to redo the gold leaf at the smallest lingerie boutique in Britain (in Clitheroe). A trip to taunton to paint a big shutter door. A couple of nice local jobs with a few vans chucked in.

Over to York today to ‘touch up/bring back to life “ a 160 year old carved pub frontage. Was in a very sorry state of repair after decades of neglect. Managed to uncover the carvers name. Wouldve been brilliant to see it totally stripped and repainted, Pity I only had a day on it. Could easily have spent a week on it tbh.

Busy day fitting today. Up in the hills of Castleton this morning with a timber sign, a timber ‘A’ board and sw***er for high peak wine and beer, then back local in hazel grove to get jacks ready for their new opening. Thanks to Mike smith for the assistance. www.dwhyattsigns.co.uk

A weeks worth of fitting, signwriting and rough stencilling. At very low, medium and high(ish) level. The Mini scaffold has been one of the best things I’ve bought. Certainly glad this weeks over though. Back to the warmth of golf club honours boards next week
