Dyspraxia Support Group Teesside is calling on people with the condition to get in touch and take part in a National Awareness week starting with an open day on Oct 6.
Pritthijit Datta, founder of the Dyspraxia Support Group Teesside, said: “Dyspraxia is a co-ordination disorder that stops people from being able to do everyday things that others take for granted.”
There will be activities for parents and their children and for adults – all taking place at the charity’s base at Laurel House, Skinner Street, Stockton.
For more details go to www.dyspraxiasupport.org; email [email protected] or call Pritthijit on 07804 368585.

Has your doctor disappeared off the face of the Earth? Maybe there's a good reason - so tell us what it is!
Here Helen Logan friend of Juicy and former colleague, explains why she was grateful for the chance to see the doc.

My husband’s garage business is next to a food bank – it’s been sad to see the queues lengthen and how busy it’s become during the last couple of years.

It was a pleasure to talk to members of the Tees Valley Young Creatives network during an online workshop for ARC Stockton Arts Centre
A few hints and tips about standing out from the crowd, knowing who to talk to and publicising their skills from me.
Good luck to all of the class of 2020 who are just starting their careers in the creative industries - in employment, freelancing or still thinking about their options.
Anyone interested in media or public relations training just let me know.

Juicy Marketing is celebrating its second birthday today - can't believe it is two years since we came out blinking into the sunlight. We may have picked the strangest two years in history but wouldn't have it any other way...
We've been supported by old friends and made lots of new ones.
Even though we have been around for bloomin' ever, it is like starting again.
So thanks for the support, advice, trust and work that have made our baby years so great.

Non-essential shops – providing non-essential jobs?

Today it is the reopening of "non-essential shops" - what a demeaning and misleading phrase.

Excuse me but it is some of the goods that are deemed non-essential by the powers that be - not the shops. That’s a rather important distinction for the people who work in them and to the communities they serve.

Also for people, like me, who want to go to a shop, look, touch and feel stuff; see the real colours and not pay in time and money to have poor quality products delivered and then send them back.

Real life shopping is more efficient, better for the environment and obviously more fun.

I will certainly venture to the shops. First on my list are a new bed; books made of actual paper for reading in the bath (each to their own); a gift for a new baby, whose mum really doesn’t want him to sleep in a drawer, and everyday walking-about shoes.

They may not be needed immediately but they're definitely essential. Devil’s in the definition.

For the first time in my life I’ve got voices in my head.

When Ben Houchen was elected Mayor, I was one of the people who doubted he’d be able to do what he said he’d do – buy the airport and get the planes flying from Tees Valley again – yeah right…
