It was great to welcome some new faces into the room this week, and we hope the potato-powered excitement over winning a jacket potato didn’t put people off coming back… we promise the referrals are even better than the cheesy beans toppings!

Richard Reeves gave a glowing testimony on his personal development within the chapter over the last two years, highlighting the impact BNI can have both personally and professionally.

£18,000 in Thank You for the Business at BNI @10 last week.
That’s £18,000 of business generated between members through referrals, recommendations and connections.

The future of the jacket spud was hotly debated at BNI this morning.

We still don’t know the answer 🥔?

But we do know that Chris from Type Frog Studio won the 45 second presentation with his best Hurrah moment this summer being joining BNI.

Dave reminded us that it’s not about bringing more visitors, but bringing valuable visitors who genuinely add to the chapter.

And Lliam delivered a brilliant, insightful presentation on building e commerce websites, showcasing an impressive portfolio of national and international brands. From chocolate, beer and Dry Robes to hair products, cars and even Tom Daley, his work is a fantastic mix of creativity, technical expertise and commercial thinking.

Today at BNI@10, Jo Stanner from Justwealth shared a brilliant reminder about the power of recognition within BNI. Recognising one another boosts morale, motivates us to keep supporting each other and builds confidence - all of which help us create stronger, more meaningful connections in business.

We also said a very fond farewell (for now!) to our lovely Olivia from J M Glendenning Insurance, who is starting her maternity leave. From all of us at BNI, we wish you all the very best for this exciting new chapter, and we’re sending our best wishes to you and baby!

Denise also gave a wonderful presentation on the incredible achievements of the Help Appeal - County Air Ambulance Trust, sharing some personal stories about how the charity has supported local people, as well as highlighting the amazing fundraising efforts of others.
