The tornado that struck Stoke-on-Trent today unleashed a ferocious gust of wind that brought down a significant sign from a building. systems.co.uk faced the brunt of nature's fury as their office sign was torn from its moorings and hurled across a business park in Trentham Lakes.
Juliet Moran, the technical director of systems.co.uk, expressed relief that no one was injured by the falling sign, considering its substantial size and the potential danger it posed. "We are lucky it didn’t hit anyone when it landed as it's quite large and could have hurt someone," she remarked.
This incident occurred during regular office hours on Monday, following a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office for strong winds. The team at systems.co.uk was startled by the loud crash as the sign collided with the ground, accompanied by the intense gusts of wind behaving in an unusually forceful manner.
While clouds are typically expected to adorn the skies, the cloud technology company systems.co.uk found themselves less than pleased to witness this particular "cloud" descending to the ground with destructive force. The unexpected encounter with nature's power serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable forces at play, even in the heart of urban environments.

As Technical Director within a tech firm, it's more important than ever to shout about the successes of business women, especially in the Tech industry, as the numbers continue to dwindle in women taking up STEM subjects in education.
