Position of Print Finisher

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to come and work in a busy large format printing company based in Stone. Previous experience in the printing or sign making industry would be beneficial although it is not a necessity as training will be given on site.

The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:
- Good time-keeping
- Be well presented in appearance
- Willingness to learn all of the aspects of print finishing
- Willingness to work until the day's jobs are finished

A full clean driving licence & own transport would be preferred but not essential.

The job does require the candidate to work until the jobs, which have to be dispatched that day are finished. There will also be requirements to work some weekends or late nights when we have bulk orders to produce.
Weekend work and hours after 6pm are paid at a higher rate.

The aspects of the job which the candidate will be expected to undertake are as follows:

- Assembly of exhibition display stands to include quality control inspection to make sure nothing obvious is wrong.
- Sufficient packing and labelling of orders.
- Training will be given on using the printers, laminators, cutting machines and welding machine.
- Unloading of stock. The candidate will be expected to assist their colleagues with the unloading and managing of stock. Some items are heavy and require unloading by two people.
- Stock taking.
- You may also be required to speak to customers on the telephone about their order, we request that you are polite and helpful at all times. There may also be some face to face contact with customers to which the same applies.
- You will be expected to keep your work area clean and tidy at all times and help with tidying up and the organisation of other areas of the production department.

Salary £16,000.00 - £22,000.00 per year dependent upon age and experience.

Our range of in-house print equipment is extensive and includes large format digital roll-roll, flat-bed and dye sublimation technologies with associated print finishing processes.

With an annual turnover of around £2M, we work with a wide range of clients including retailers, advertising agencies, charities and businesses of all sizes.

Position details:

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to work within our office team in a fast paced environment.

Aspects of the job will include:

• Checking and verifying incoming artwork files for suitability
• Creating proofs for clients
• Providing artwork set up advice and support to customers
• Answering calls and providing useful product advice
• Design and set up of artwork based on customer briefs

In order to assist our clients in the most efficient way, the successful candidate will work alongside the office and production team in order to gain a clear understanding of the products we provide and our production capabilities.

As a growing business, there is opportunity for the successful candidate to diversify their role within the business and become involved in sales, account management or even production, with encouragement, support and training being provided.

Salary for this position is £20K-£30K pa and is negotiable depending on experience.

As this is an office based role, working hours are 9am-5pm Monday - Friday. Occasionally you may be required to work overtime. These hours will be paid at time and a half after 6pm.

Experience of Adobe Creative Suite software is preferable for this position.

A full-time contract of employment will be subject to an initial six month probationary period.

With an annual turnover of around £2M, we provide high quality display graphics, signage and display products to a wide spread of clients including advertising agencies, charity organisations, retailers and companies of all sizes.

Position details:

We are seeking a hardworking, friendly and outgoing individual to work within our graphics and print production team.

Aspects of the job will include:

• Hands on operation of large format printers (Vutek and Mimaki UV and Dye Sublimation)
• Operation of Zund cutting systems
• Print finishing including welding, laminating, mounting, graphics application and hand finishing
• Working as part of the production team to facilitate timely production schedules
• Ensuring products are produced to a high level of quality
• Scheduled maintenance of machinery

Applicants should ideally have previous production experience within the printing or sign making industry. A familiarity with Vutek printers and/or Zund cutting systems is preferred although not essential as full training can be provided.

The ability to work well as part of a team with good communication skills and an eye for detail is essential for this position.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills with opportunity to progress within the company to a production management role.

Salary for this position is £25K-£35K pa and is negotiable depending on experience.

A full-time contract of employment will be subject to an initial six month probationary period.

So today we have said a sad farewell to Tracy who has headed up our accounts department for the last 18 years. She started with us in 2001 working one afternoon a week and as the company grew she became a full time member of staff.
