Last week, I went old skool.
Sometimes, the best way to visualise something to a client is to mock it up with a bit of cutting and sticking and sending it to them via Royal Mail.
But it’s been a while since I did that. And my Spray Mount nozzle had clogged up.
A whole can was destined for the bin. But after poking with a needle, and a little perseverance, the nozzle was freed and there it was…. The unrecognisable smell that instantly took me back to days when I was employed and we were mocking up brochures for clients; uni days when we were preparing portfolios for open night; and college days when we were making large scale artwork. Happy days.
A can of Spray Mount never used to be far away – it was part of a designer’s essential kit, alongside the metal ruler and cutting knife.
