Over 30 years in nursing… and what a journey! 🤍

If you’ve followed my stories this week, you’ll have seen my nursing poll and a glimpse of my time in Oxford.

I can’t believe it’s been over 30 years! This week I’ve been presenting to colleagues visiting from the US, sharing my experience of UK healthcare, education and workforce development. 👩‍⚕️🩺

It’s made me reflect on my journey from clinical nursing to leadership, teaching and mentoring others, achieving my Master’s in Education, Doctorate in Health and Wellbeing and becoming a registered teacher with the NMC.

But did you know there’s another side to what I do?

Alongside Aesthetic Balance, I run NIW Consulting, supporting education and training providers and employers with skills, apprenticeships, quality and workforce development.

Two different businesses, but both built on the same values, people, care, quality and making a difference.

As a registered nurse and independent nurse prescriber, I bring that clinical experience and commitment to personalised care into Aesthetic Balance.

Because aesthetics is about more than treatments. It’s about confidence, self-care and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin.
