It’s officially linen season! A perfect choice for hot weather as it is a breathable fabric and highly absorbent. But make sure you choose a flattering cut for your body shape.
Generally, linen cut on the grain will produce a stiffer material; great if you're a straighter figure and looking for something smarter, such as the Jigsaw trousers on the right in the first pic. But, if you have curves, be careful as clothing will stand off your bust and hips making you look larger than you really are.
However linen cut on the bias will follow the figure and flow into a beautiful drape towards the hemline as seen in the Pure Collection skirt on the left.
Linen mix is also great for the summer and minimises creases as seen here from Peacocks Louise Redknapp The Edit range. Blue linen mix maxi skirt and brown tailored linen mix shorts, beautifully modelled at our recent fashion show by Elaine and Gayle.

Just a wee update to let you know Barbours have sold out of tickets now. There are still 13 available at Peacocks and also some at North West Castle. If you have any problems obtaining tickets please let me know. North West Castle have taken a lot of bookings for their Early Bird Menu on Monday so if you would like to go it would be advisable to check/book beforehand. Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday night!

Tickets are now on sale at Barbours, Peacocks and North West Castle at £5 each. Early bird menu is available at North West Castle from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Ideal place for a meal before the fashion show starts at 7.30 pm! 2 courses £18, 3 courses £21. Menu to follow soon.

Pleased to say that at last we can hold our fashion show!
We only do this every 2 years and due to Covid this couldn't happen in 2021.
Tickets and details of where to buy them will be available soon.
It will be lovely to see everyone again!

I met a lovely group of ladies last night at Monreith golf club when I was giving a talk on all things colour! As an added bonus this was the view I had while I was working. So lucky to live in this area!
