Thank you to the team at for including the Sean Symington X Zardi & Zardi Withdrawing Room in this months issue.

With WOW!house just around the corner, we can’t wait to reveal this luxurious space, designed for ‘an international jetsetter, a glamorous well-travelled woman ~ metropolitan, cultured and with a sharp eye and love of beautiful things collected over a lifetime.’

We are thrilled that our new ‘Primavera’ design features so prominently in this room, the perfect balance of faded elegance with a touch of contemporary. It is the result of a collaboration with Sir John Soane’s Museum, reimagining archive material.

Other designs included are ‘Maubec’ a tapestry of double cornucopias and a tapestry wall hanging called ‘La Dance’ a reproduction of a late 17th century European tapestry.

William Turner ~ definitely in my Top 5 artists, an early Impressionist, child prodigy talent & intrepid traveller. I particularly love his sketchbook studies of light and weather and have a particular affinity for his Italian landscapes. What a genius.

I hope this feature in the latest issue of The Artist magazine helps to demystify this famous artwork and brings it into context.

What a total joy to revisit these paintings and share them with you! ✨

I’m delighted my first blog for is about the German artist Paula Modersohn-Becker.

Her life is a moving story of a courage young woman, with unerring faith in her own ability, breaking boundaries in the face of conservatism at the turn of the century.

I hope you get the chance to read it (link in bio). I was so struck by her bravery, quiet determination & devotion to art. Her work is way beyond its years in terms of palette and subject matter.

Thank you to Jackson’s for commissioning me, it was fascinating.

🐝 Tours & Talks! 🐝
I’ve been busy behind the scenes researching & writing some lovely tours and talks this summer!
🐝The marvellous team at have invited me to give some tours of the special Arts & Crafts Gallery & give a lecture about Groundbreaking Women in Art, in conjunction with their superb Paula Rego exhibition
🐝 The kindly asked if I would be interested in leading a textile tour of Painswick and I said yippee, because the more I know about the beautiful place where I live the better! Book via STT and see a spinning demo & hear some church bells 🤞🏻
🐝 Our wonderful village gallery are busy cooking up Summer Art Walks, the second year of this lovely summer evening arty gathering with open studios, refreshments sponsored by with street food at andddddd Walking Tours of the village with yours truly.
