I’m excited to be collaborating with and for a special Summer Solstice gathering by the sea.

Join us for a nourishing breakfast to celebrate the longest day of the year with good food, good people, and good vibes.

🍽️ Breakfast options:
• Potato Bhaji Wrap
• Masala Egg Wrap
• Poha (flattened rice tempered with spices)

We plan to offer sausage and bacon buns as well for those who are not keen on the Indian breakfast.

One of the best parts of our BIG LUNCH EVENT on Saturday 6th June is the incredible food on offer! 😍

We’re so excited to have some amazing local organisations bringing delicious treats for everyone to enjoy:

🧁 Local charity Space 4 will be serving up a fantastic selection of homemade cakes and bakes
🥐 Star Community Learning CIC will have a tasty range of pastries available
🍛 NamasteNima will be offering beautiful homemade curries packed with flavour
🌭 Plus FREE hot dogs for kids! Provided by Houghton Le Spring Residents CIC

From sweet treats to savoury favourites and flavours from around the world, there’ll be something to tempt everyone’s taste buds! 🌎✨

Bring a picnic blanket, enjoy the atmosphere, and come support these brilliant local community organisations while enjoying some amazing food.

Did you know that many of the spices we use every day have been valued for centuries for their connection to health and wellbeing?

From warming cinnamon and fragrant cardamom to cloves, black pepper, turmeric, fennel and star anise, Indian spices are more than just flavour – they are deeply rooted in traditional wellness practices and mindful living.

At NamasteNima, I love sharing the stories and cultural significance behind these incredible ingredients, whether through cooking demonstrations, workshops, chai experiences or community events.

✨✨WOW!!! It has been an amazing weekend for the city… BBC Radio 1 music festival and Sunderland qualifying for the Europa League!! The weather embraced the city’s agenda for bank holiday! ☀️😎✨✨

What a fantastic Saturday we had at the BBC wraparound programme at High Street West as part of the wider BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend.✨🌶️☕

NamasteNima was proud to bring authentic Indian flavours, spices, masala chai culture and community spirit to the event.

From the vibrant spice displays to the aromas of freshly cooked Indian food, it was incredible to see people stopping by, asking questions, tasting flavours and connecting through food. ❤️🇮🇳

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stall, supported us, and shared in the experience. Seeing people engage with Indian food, spices and traditional chai made the day truly special. We are truly grateful for this opportunity and be a part of it in a small way. 🤩

We are delighted to have been selected for the BBC Big Weekend Wrapround on Saturday 23rd May at Sunderland city centre 🌟

From cooking in my kitchen, in community settings and garden workshops to now being part of something this big – it means so much!

Whilst the big music is playing at Herrington Park, I’ll be creating food music with authentic Indian flavours through live cooking demos.

I will be demonstrating how to make our best selling item… fresh onion bhajis.

I will also demo making warm masala chai and creating a delicious chana chat.

Alongside this we will also be serving chicken curry and rice. A vegan/vegetarian option of chickpea curry and rice is also available along with the onion bhajis.

The exact timings of the 3 demo session tbc soon.

This is a huge milestone for NamasteNima. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. I appreciate your support in this journey. ❤️
