the idea that you have to run yourself into the ground to succeed

I’ve spent too many years believing I had to keep carrying things that were hurting me.
These days, peace matters more.

And honestly? My business got better when I stopped building it around stress.

People often assume The One Woman Club started because I love AI and systems.

But honestly, it started because I was drowning.

For 18 years I have built my business around real life, not perfect life.

While caring for a child with severe anxiety.

Another with autism.

Living through domestic abuse and coercive control.

Managing my own anxiety and depression.

And recently being diagnosed with CPTSD.

There were periods where I completely disappeared from my business.

Days where I hid from work, messages, people, even friends and family because everything felt too much.

And the hardest part was that most business advice made me feel worse.

More behind.

More overwhelmed.

More like I was failing at something everybody else seemed able to handle.

What I actually needed was not more pressure.

I needed a calmer way to run a business.

A way to keep going even when my energy dipped.

A way to stay present without burning myself into the ground.

A way to stop feeling like I had to become a different person to succeed.

So slowly, over time, I built systems around real life.

Not hustle. Not rigid routines. Not pretending every week looks the same.

Gentle structure. Simple AI support. Low energy workflows. Ways to reduce the mental load instead of adding to it.

And that eventually became The One Woman Club.

Because I know I am not the only woman trying to build a business while carrying a whole invisible life behind the scenes.

You might be a one woman business. But you should not have to do it all alone.

What do all these graphics have in common?

(And before anyone panics, I removed all identifying info. These were from ONE scroll on Facebook.)

Different businesses.
Different niches.
Different audiences.

But they all look almost identical.

Same layouts.
Same icons.
Same emotional hooks.
Same polished AI aesthetic.

Everything looks “good” now.

That’s the problem.

AI is brilliant for ideas, structure and speed.

But if you let it lead your branding completely, your business starts looking like everyone else’s.

Use AI to support your voice.
Not replace it.

Because if people can remove your logo and nobody knows it’s you…

that’s not branding.

BUT I'm going to use it.
