Waiting for the plane after an amazing week in Ireland!

The hospitality extended by the Irish Road Haulage Association - IRHA was amazing, and we got a chance to see parts of Ireland we'd not seen before.

Thanks to everyone - look forward to the next visit.

What a weekend it's been at the Irish Road Haulage Association - IRHA annual conference.

We met so many wonderful people, learned about some great businesses (many multi-generational) and had some interesting chats with one or two of the politicians in attendance about how they support the haulage sector.

The welcome and organisation of the event were perfect - huge congrats to the team - and the location at the Gleneagle Killarney was spectacular.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful hospitality - especially the IRHA President, Ger Hyland and the team.

Here's to the next one!

URGENT FOR CREATORS, PHOTOGRAPERS & BUSINESS OWNERS:
Check these Instagram settings today!

Meta just rolled out a major update to its AI image generator (Muse Image) and its approach makes you realise why people don't trust tech firms.

Meta has automatically opted you in to let anyone on the internet use your face, photos, and likeness for generative AI - just by tagging your public profile page.

Here's why you need to act now...

⚠️ No consent needed
Your professional photography, team photos, or personal likeness are essentially treated as open-source material for anyone else's prompts.

⚠️ The "No Take-Backs" rule
Meta’s policy states if someone generates an AI image using your photos before you change your settings, those generated images stay in circulation (Turning it off only protects future posts).

How to switch it off...
- Open Instagram and go to your profile.
- Tap the Menu (three lines) in the top right.
- Scroll down and tap Sharing and reuse.
- Look for the section: "Allow people to use your content on Instagram and with AI features on Meta".
- Toggle OFF the switches for both Posts and Reels.

Change your settings today, then share this with any creators, photographers or business owners in your network so they can secure their account today.

Have you reserved your WhatsApp username yet?

How about for your business?

WhatsApp is soon rolling out usernames for the whole platform, allowing people to contact you using your username, without you needing to give them your phone number.

The feature is not yet live in the UK, but you can already reserve the username you want.

If you have a business WhatsApp, you'll definitely want to do this to make sure you get the name you want.

Usernames are approved on a first-come, first-served basis - globally, so once your preferred name has gone, it's gone.

Do you REALLY want to have to add random numbers after your business name to make it unique?

I've done both - personal username and business username (and secured with a PIN to prevent spam).

Best be quick!

(PS. you don't need to link your WhatsApp to your Facebook or Instagram, so ignore that if you don't want to make it easier for Meta to join your data dots!)

I'm not saying that this was us two on the top of the Empire State...

But they do make a very good point.

AI is a great tool.
But if you're using it to write posts, blogs or web copy - without you adding YOUR voice & YOUR perspective - it will damage your online reputation.

Firstly, it normally doesn't sound like you.

Second, it normally doesnt really say much.

Thirdly, people can tell - which means they'll start to think you're someone who cuts corners...

And if you do it there, will you do it across other areas of your business?

If you're OK with that, carry on.
But we're with the people on the Empire State building.

What a lovely way to end the week...

We've spent today with Warwickshire Vision Support Charity capturing their Volunteer Excellence Awards, celebrating the people who give so much of their time to support others in the community.

The morning was full of special moments, amazing stories and well-deserved recognition.

As we head into the weekend, we're leaving with full hearts - it's been a real reminder of just how much kindness is out there.

Wonderful people doing incredible work.

Now, time for a beer.🍺

What a difference a bit of sunny weather makes... 🌞

Traffic seems calmer and drivers appear more patient which all makes driving to customer visits a little less stressful.
