I apologise for not updating this sooner, my health has not been good to me of late, so it is with a heavy heart I am announcing the end of an era and the final demise of an 84 year old company. I have decided that after the fire last November I have lost so much that I cannot bare to pick up the pieces again. Metal and plastic can be replaced but everything in between that makes the company tick has been lost forever. I have now closed my doors for the last time, the Phoenix will not rise from the ashes. :(
If you have bothered to read this far I thank you, and I can pass you over to some people that come highly recommended and can hopefully service you further although they may not do all the services that I was providing.
My current phone number has been put through to "Hansign" until my contract runs out with the phone company. Please speak to Ben or Rachel on 01792 793058
For an alternative service please give Paul Coates Signs a ring on 01792 700258
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every customer who has crossed my threshold for all the business you have put my way, some quite mundane run of the mill stuff and others that stretched my abilities to the limit, but I am glad to say I have loved every challenge thrown at me. When I worked in South Africa I was taught never to say you can't and have always gone the extra mile to do my utmost best.
I will keep this page open as long as the powers above let me as a reminder of the oldest sign company in South Wales.
A little history if you are interested.
I started working for Trevor Lewis way back in 1973, straight out of school and had my first wage packet of £6.00 on my 16th birthday. I have spent all my working life in a job I have loved, not many people can say that!
I went on holiday in 1980 to South Africa for 3 months and returned to the UK 13 years later. lol The best 13 years of my life! :) On my return to the UK in 1994 I popped my head in the door to say hello to Mac who was running the business at the time and he offered me a job there and then. Mac retired in 1997 and I took over the reins until November 2016. So as you can see I have a long history with this company that makes it harder for me to walk away. I have always believed that things happen for a reason, so I am now waiting to find out what that reason is, only time will tell.
I take my final bow to you all. Thank you!
