South Wales Neon turns one next month.

Over the last year we’ve hand-bent and installed commissions, launched collections, organised a launch party, spent countless hours in the studio, learnt a lot of lessons the hard way and met some genuinely brilliant people along the way.

There have been some highlights. There have also been broken toes, equipment failures, late nights, last-minute problem solving and more emails than we’d like to think about.

We’ve made signs for homes, businesses, events and gifts. We’ve watched pieces go from a sketch on paper to something lit and hanging on a wall. We’ve celebrated every order, every commission and every person who has chosen to support a small business making real glass neon in Swansea.

Most importantly, we’ve spent the last year doing something we genuinely love.

So before we officially turn one, here’s our review of the last twelve months.

Thank you to everyone who has followed, shared, commented, visited the studio, bought a sign or supported us in any way.

Year one: complete.

Year two starts soon.
