It is with great pleasure that I would like to introduce my first employee for Jamio Creations - my wife, Annie.

I’ve been so busy lately that I realised I needed additional support so I convinced Annie to join me and she has already been a fantastic help with admin and simple website maintenance. She has 34 years of admin experience to bring to the team.

Going forwards she will be learning to build simple websites and support me in other areas of the business and we couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds!

Had a fantastic few days off attending the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 in London!

After spending Friday afternoon playing the game in the lovely Brockwell Park, we spent the rest of the weekend catching Pokémon whilst exploring some of the many popular tourist sites in and around central London.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of us geeks/nerds still playing the game (over seven years after it was launched) and it really was great to spend a full three days meeting and playing with thousands of other players, many of which had travelled from all over the world!

For those of you who play, over the entire weekend I caught/hatched over 2000 Pokémon, 114 of which were shiny ✨ I also completed 52 raids, earned over 3 million XP and collected more than 2 million stardust. For those of you who don’t play or understand a word of that, all you need to know is that it was a very successful weekend and the best event I’ve been to yet (after previously attending similar events in France, Germany and Sweden). Well played Niantic 🙌 Can’t wait for the next one!

Having recently moved into our lovely new forever home in Swindon, it seems like a fitting time to finally launch the Jamio Creations website!

FIRST PROJECT COMPLETE!

I was extremely proud to re-launch the B the lifestyle shop website last week, built on the fantastic Shopify eCommerce platform. Emma was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish - I couldn't have asked for a better first project for Jamio Creations...

Along with the usual functionality you'd expect from an eCommerce website or online shop, it has some great additional features such as:

- the option to browse clothes by dress size, only showing products that have stock available in your chosen size
- the website either recommends similar products using built in algorithms or Emma has the option to manually override this with specific products that go together (such as items of clothing to make up an outfit)
- sending customers a reminder email to leave a review so many days after purchasing a product
- ability for customers to save products to a wishlist without even having to sign in
- direct integration with Royal Mail Click & Drop service to speed up label printing and shipping process
- fast speedy checkout with Apple Pay & Google Pay
