🌸 While in Sheffield - I was very impressed with their Shopping Mall 😍 - didn’t expect that at all.
This is a selection from River Island - kids section- how cute they all are 🥰💗 - what annoys me thou is - why oh why can’t we have these in adult sizes!!! It baffles me why designers take the fun and cute out of grown up clothes 🤨🤷‍♀️

Comes in 3 Colours 🖤❤️💚 - all Winter ones unfortunately- no variations for other seasons
👗 Style - fabulous Swing Dress - perfect for Straight and Apple Shapes
✔️ We love the low neck for an Apple who usually have full cleavage - Not so great for a Straight
✔️ Love the medium weight fabric draping beautifully
✔️ Love the Style - simple lines and elegant
✔️ Love the little touches of sheer fabric along the neckline, the hem and the sleeves - adding interest and a touch of sophistication
❗️ Beware the golden flecks. While they add glam, the warmth of the gold is clashing with the cool winter colours. Silver would be the better match 🌸

🩷 Colour - I really wanted to find a beautiful Coral for the Springs and came across this one - they call it Coral - I say it’s Orchid which is a Summer pink - cool and muted . I have attached the third photo showing an actual Coral which is a warm colour, to see the difference
👗 Style - variation of Empire - to suit a Pear shape
✔️ We love the sleeves with a slight volume and gatherings adding width and height for the shoulders which is what we want for a pear to bring them in line with the wider hips and create balance
✔️ We love the beautiful lace and patterns on the top half which add interest and draw the eye
✔️ We love the fabric that will drape nicely over the curves on the bottom half and the fitted top half, highlighting Pears assets - their waist
❗️Patterns on bottom half are not ideal for a Pear, we like to keep it as simple and plain not to add bulk and volume. This one is in the same colours so is not as offensive
❗️Model is not a Pear, is an inverted triangle and we can see how it works against her - sleeves creating even more width at the top and skirt clinging on the narrow hips

Black 🖤 - Winter
I chose them because I kept raving about straps and this is a good way to show what I mean
✔️ Both models are hours glass.
✔️ Both fabrics are soft, draping over curves, medium weight, skimming not clinging
❗️The difference is in the straps. We can see how the wide (!) straps on the black outfit are breaking up the wider top half, bringing the shoulders in, in line with the hips, creating beautiful balance 😍
Extra point goes to the black outfit 🌸

The dress comes in 3 colours -
💜 Lavender - a cool muted purple for Summers
🩵 Light Blue Grey - for Summers again
🤍 Light Warm Beige - a beautiful neutral for Autumns
👗 Style - fit and flare - it will look great on an inverted triangle - there are 2 ways in which this dress makes the torso appear smaller and the hips wider which is exactly what we want
✔️ The patterns - on the top half lines converging towards the waist - narrowing, on the bottom randomly placed - widening
Geometrical patterns work great with straight line body shapes
✔️ The structured top half narrows the waist and the fuller skirt adds width to hips
✔️ The low neck line breaks the heavier top of an inverted triangle
❗️ The thin straps and open back don’t do them any favours thou, so a cardigan will be required to correct these 🌸

I promised I will dig deeper for some colours that would suit Summers and Springs
I searched for Ivory Shimmery - came across this one that comes in few different colours 🥳
🤍 Ivory is the white of Summers - a light neutral - not all whites are the same and they don’t all suit every season ❗️
🩶 What they call a Navy is actually a Charcoal Blue Grey - again a staple dark neutral for the Summers - very good alternative for the black
🩵 What they call baby blue is actually a Powder Blue - again cool and muted - flattering for Summers
💛 they call it Cream - I would call it Champagne - a warm bright colour for Springs
💚 The Mint green - is a cool light icy green suitable for Winters - yes Winters do light colours too but there is still a certain depth to them
👗 The style is a slight shift dress - flattering for the Straight Bidy Shape
✔️ We love the festive feeling and glamour of the shimmering fabric
✔️ Love the slightly fluted sleeves ending up in line with the hips and adding a bit of needed width in this area
✔️ The slightly dropped shoulder and boat neckline ads width at the top bringing the shoulders in line with the hips
❗️Usually a shift dress would be suitable for an Apple also but the more fitted style, high neck and the shimmering fabric would not do Apples any favours
✔️ The low back adds another touch of glamour and chic 😍🤩🌸

Well hello there 😍 I was going to search for a Bodycon at some point but this popped up on my fb this evening 🤩
🖤 Colour black - suits Winters only - I know this goes very much against general knowledge and might not make me very popular 🫣
⏳ Style : bodycon is the perfect style for an Hour Glass
✔️ We love the fabric - stretchy, not clingy, medium weight and with a touch of sparkle adding festive glamour ✨ 🤩
✔️ We love the lace - beautiful design, sophisticated and classy with a cute, feminine scalloped edge on the sleeve
❗️ A high neck would not normally suit an Hour Glass. But we have the see through lace taking the top line down to the sweetheart balconette, breaking up the heavier top half of an Hour Glass. A straight line would have created a horizontal line which is not desirable on that part of the body. The devil is in the detail 😉
✔️ Perfect length for an elegant look
✔️ We love the design 😍 - a little bit different than your usual Highstreet stuff - lots of lovely things from this brand 🌸

💚 A beautiful forest green perfect for Winters
Most Xmasy colours are deep which will be either Autumns or Winter. I will try to dig a bit deeper to find some good colours for Springs and Summers
🍏 The style - Swing dress which is either an Apple or a Straight
✔️ The knit is not very loose which is great, giving a little structure to the fabric and not clinging
✔️ We love the patterns creating vertical lines which are fabulous for larger sizes creating the illusion of taller and slimmer
❗️The sleeves are dropped and a little too bulky which will add width and volume. If you have a larger top half is not ideal
❗️Neckline is V shape which will suit an angular face shape , not so great for curved . It could go a little lower as well for an Apple 🍏

My Rocking Kids do pyjamas that people will love receiving and… wearing❗️🥰 😍
😍 I love their stuff - good quality, funny, a bit different. And it’s not just pyjamas, they do lots of different things, including the very popular K word I won’t mention 😁
I got the No.3 for our family last year and they went down a treat - guess which ones were for my teenagers 😆

✔️ Beautiful fabric, with a slight structure and stiffness, enough to suit the straight and drappy enough to suit the hour glass
✔️ The skirt design adds the illusion of hips for the Straight shape
✔️ the straight, high Neckline is more suitable for the Staright Body Shape
✔️ The Flowery patterns are more suited for the curvy lines of an hour glass

❤️‍🔥 Bittersweet Red - is a warm red, most flattering for Autumns.
🍐 Body shape : Pear - Narrow shoulders, wider hips. There aren’t many dress styles that suit the Pear but the 1950’s style dress is their best friend
✔️ The dropped shoulder makes the top appear wider and in line with the hips , creating the illusion of hour glass
✔️ The fitted waist highlights one of their best asset
✔️ The full skirt is great for disguising wide hips
✔️ The fabric has some structure so it doesn’t cling on the hips
✔️Love the cute little bow adding a touch of Xmas 🎄
❗️Generally Pears don’t have a very full cleavage so we would ideally like a higher neckline like boat or Bardot. There are of course exceptions in which case this is perfect

💛 Gold - is flattering for Springs and Autumns. There aren’t too many Spring colours out there for Xmas outfits so gold is a good option
⌛️ Body shape : Hour Glass (HR) -
✔️ We love the square neck and wide straps, great for breaking up the heavier top of an hour glass
✔️ We love the fabric, soft and of medium weight which will drape nicely on the curves of the HR
✔️ Fitted on the waist - anything baggy on the waist of an HR will add on weight
✔️ The slit is classy and sexy
✔️ The style is dramatic and bold - just what we want for Xmas - pure Gold 🤩
