The final episode in our current 1457 Podcast series is one you won’t want to miss.

We’re joined by Stuart McColm, Vice-President of Golf Development at Cabot, to explore the vision behind the much-anticipated Old Petty course at Cabot Highlands and how it will complement Castle Stuart.

With more than 35 years in the game, Stuart reflects on an incredible journey from greenkeeping and the Old Course cutting squad at St Andrews, while sharing insights into creating world-class golf experiences at Kingsbarns and Castle Stuart. He also pays tribute to the late Mark Parsinen, whose influence continues to shape the game today.

A fascinating conversation and the perfect way to round off the series.

A few months ago, we had the privilege of hosting Gavin and Scott Hastings on the 1457 Podcast. Earlier this week, Scott very sadly passed away after his battle with cancer.

The global tributes pouring in show just how loved and respected he was. While he was a fierce rugby legend on the pitch, off it he was warm, incredibly funny, and a dedicated supporter of mental health charities. True to his character, he was determined to record this episode with us and we are so grateful he did.

Today, we are replaying the episode in memory of a truly remarkable man.

Our thoughts are with his children Kerry-Anne and Corey, his brothers Gavin, Graham, and Ewan, and his father Clifford.

Rest in peace, Scott.
