It was a privilege to film and interview some of the staff at The Patterdale Estate this summer - an incredible gem tucked away in the mountains of the Lake District 🏞

​I was lucky to have two days soaking up the soulful views and vibes that this special place offers, while having the opportunity to capture their story and their passion for the area and the charity they serve.

​Two days on site, nearly 100 photos taken on the land and in the air, and 12 edited videos (eventually!) made.

Meet the man behind Avalanche Creative Media! A mini series where you get to know a little more about me, Jon 🎬 😎

An absolute throw back for this one... A mere 19 years ago I was in front of the lens for this amazing photo, having spent 3 months working on an outback Aussie farm herding cattle. The farm was so big that we used dirt bikes and occassionally a helicopter which we were all microphoned up to as we manouvered around at speed.

I've had a few 'holy sh*t I can't believe I'm doing this' Netflix moments in my life, but blasting across the sunset on that dirt bike with a chopper overhead is definitely one of my best ones.

I spent a year abroad living and working around the world from snowy Canada to Aus, the Pacific islands, Japan and beyond. Some amazing memories I will always cherish... albeit a literal lifetime ago now!

A few weeks ago Avalanche Creative Media had the honour of supporting Tarporley Tennis Club who put on a 20 hour tennis marathon to raise funds for The Joshua Tree.

The charity, based a few miles from the village, helps families affected by childhood cancers.

We popped down to the club for a couple of hours to film the event on the drone, action cams, and 4K camera - capturing the atmosphere, the action and the community spirit behind the event.

Everyone at TTC made such a massive effort for this one and raised an incredible £2,039 for the charity! 👏💚 We donated our time to film the day, because it's such an important cause and we wanted to show our support to the charity and event in our small way.

Great day teaching the basics of videography and website design to two groups of High School children in Hartford, Cheshire 🙌🏻
