Have been doing a lot of work on OpenAI's ChatGPT - and starting to work with some businesses on how it could be beneficial. It's not only useful for helping to create different types of content, but as a research tool. It's also pretty good at writing code. Bearing in mind that it can make mistakes (sometimes pretty big ones), because of the language dataset it was trained on. It says itself that it's not a search engine (the easiest way I've found to learn about it is to ask it questions about itself) but I find it better in many ways than using google.

Will also be interesting to see how Dall-E progresses. It can be useful for creating some types of images, but too much of a black box if you want to fine tune an image.

Has anyone started incorporating OpenAI into their business' workflow?

Steve did some lovely work on the Tobar an Dualchais / Kist o' Riches website. If you don't know this site, it's worth a visit - precious recordings of Gaelic and Scots folklore - recordings from the 1930s onwards, from archives including the School of Scottish Studies, The Canna Collection and BBC Radio nan Gàidheal.

Dribble is an interesting website for designers - if you're a designer you can show your work on it. They run courses (I can't vouch for what they are like). I came to it through a mention in the 'How I built this' book, which is a great read and a fantastic podcast.,

An interesting offer here from Google Cloud Platform - they're offering $350 worth of credit to try their cloud platform through this link, $50 dollars more than their normal intro offer. We use it for some of our web hosting and development - you can spin up virtual machines in no time, there's one-click installs of wordpress, shopify (and many, many others) - insanely powerful tools. Although I think if it's just for hosting sites, there are cheaper options. It's worth a play, though!

There's a good GCP course on Pluralsight and Google have lots of great resources as well.

The Celtic Media Festival is on right as we speak and there's some fantastic events on today - I did lose in competition and my seven year old learnt to swear because of a clip they played at the ceremony last night, but no matter! As Roddy Doyle would say - check it out.
