No more AI flyers please.
While AI has a place, it is unnecessary for what feels like almost every other post to be accompanied by the generic ChatGPT ‘AI slop’ generative image.
If you genuinely need a graphic for your business or event, please pay a local graphic designer to produce something for, and unique to, you.
If you don’t, a simple photo or something knocked up in MS Word is adequate to brighten up your post.
Could local designers please tag their business page / website under this post to allow potential customers to find you.
Sorry, for those who may disagree with this but the negative impact of AI on those working in the creative industries must be reduced where possible. It may seem like a silly thing but for those whose livelihoods depend on it, AI is an existential threat.
Similarly the vast computing power and energy consumption required to produce those mediocre images would be better used elsewhere.
