This short play for children and their families, has been written especially for Spilman Farm’s Pumpkin Festival 2022.

Each festival ticket includes entry into the event and admission to watch this fun filled family play. PLUS we will give every ticket holder a £5 voucher on arrival to spend at Pumpkin Fest. Vouchers can be used to purchase the pumpkins that you pick or on the optional Spilmans activities. (Excludes fairground rides.)

Today our reviewers have been over at Spilman Farming for their fabulous dinosaur trail.

“Today we’ve been to again! We love it here; they do loads of events throughout the year, and this Dinosaur event was one we haven’t been to before.

It’s only running for a week, so you must get booked in asap if you want to visit!

Firstly I’ll start by saying; bring a pen or pencil. There is a quiz sheet / trail to do on your way round & the answers are on the boards you read, so don’t forget a pencil to fill it in.

We started off with a great little show where we met some “real life” dinosaurs! It’s only about 10-15 mins long, but afterwards you can go and take photos with the dinos which Bear loved!

We then headed to the maize maze which is brilliant - it’s at the perfect height! We collected ‘eggs’ , bumped into a t-rex, collected stamps for our maze trail and learnt loads about dinosaurs!

We then carried on wandering around the farm to complete our trail sheets; there’s still strawberries available for as well as sunflowers to pick whilst doing the trail . After having a lovely wander, we went panning for ‘gold’ which honestly kept my boys busy for a good 20 mins - they would have stayed there longer if I’d let them.

Next stop it was fossil digging which was great fun, and again kept them super busy for ages! They especially loved re hiding their fossils for other children to find.

We finished off our Dino adventure with wood fired pizza and chips and then dinosaur crafts in the barn.

There’s a few little fairground rides - these are an additional cost - we didn’t use these on this visit as we had already been there almost 3 hours!

We had a great visit, it was well spaced out and the interaction was great. The animatronics were fantastic!”

Monday 29th August is Bank Holiday Family Day at featuring the Ripon Champion Two-Yrs-Old Trophy. Entry from £7 or £20 for a car of up to four adults and there's loads of free entertainment for the kids ripon-races.co.uk/family-days/
