I want to target the whole of the UK, probably the EU and maybe the US.
That's a pretty wide net you've cast there.
Whilst it's proper tempting to push yourself in front of as many people as possible, you do have to reign it in and think about your end client. Are they actually in those places? Who are they? What do they need?
And the biggest question of all - what about your local audience?
You know, all those people and businesses that are right on your doorstep, looking for you, right now. They don't want to work with a faceless company on the other side of the country or the world. They want local expertise. They want someone like you.
One of the easiest ways to target your local community, other than your website and socials, is with a Google Business Profile. You know, that thing you set up, and then left to wither and die, unloved, alongside your Google Search Console account.
Here are four top reasons to get it on with GBP:
🥛 Online local kudos. Keeping your GBP updated with comprehensive information makes your business stand out in Google Search and Maps when potential customers look for your awesomeness, increasing visits to your website, phone calls and website traffic.
🥛Lovely reviews. Ups your kudos even more when everyone waxes lyrical about how flipping great you are and that means more clients!
🥛Data! Google of course has its own insights for GBP, including how people found you, how many times they called you and clicked a link.
🥛Posts! Google is all about relevancy and that extends to your GBP. Regular updates about your business, special offers, events, or useful tips not only help your profile’s appeal but also signal to Google that you are open for business (and pretty good at it too.)
Need help setting up a profile or managing it? I look after a whooping 50 (yes, really) GBP and let me tell you, they absolutely work and bring in so much extra traffic for my clients and sales. Bit crazy not to jump on, isn't it?
If you sign up for a monthly package with me, that’s all included. Or, you can manage your own which is all included in The Hub (including scheduling posts, I’ve just scheduled mine till October
