Last week I was sat outside in the evening, still warm, sun hanging around longer than it should⌠felt like weâd somehow been transported on holiday without leaving Treorchy.
People were out, busy, things just felt⌠easier.
Fast forward to today.
Grey skies, jacket back on, that familiar chill in the air. You know the feeling, like someoneâs quietly said, âRight, thatâs over⌠back to normal now.â
And it got me thinking about how often business feels exactly the same.
I speak to a lot of local business owners who say things like:
âLast month we were flat outâŚâ
âPhones didnât stopâŚâ
âNow itâs just gone quiet.â
Feels like itâs come out of nowhere.
But most of the time, it hasnât.
Itâs just harder to notice when things are good.
Because when enquiries are coming in, you donât question your website, your messaging or how people are finding you.
But when things slow down⌠thatâs when the cracks show.
- People land on your site and arenât quite sure what you do.
-They canât see why they should choose you.
-Or itâs just not clear enough to take that next step.
And they leave.
No big dramatic moment, just a quiet missed opportunity.
Just like the weather, you canât control the ups and downs.
But you can control how well your business shows up when people are looking.
For me, it always comes back to the same three things:
Clarity â Trust â Action
When thatâs right, you donât rely on âgood weeksâ or âbad weeksâ as much.
The work doesnât disappear when the weather changes.
Let me know if you can relate to this? (Even if it's just the weather part)
