Save The Rave, a roving event that landed in Cornwall over the weekend, has been likened to the disastrous 2017 Fyre Festival in a swathe of complaints from attendees and performers.

The event took place at The Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge on Saturday, September 12, billed as an open-air day rave filled with ‘90s nostalgia and club classics.

Cornwall Live reports that Save The Rave did not draw in the thousands of people it expected to attend, allegedly leaving vendors out of pocket and attendees underwhelmed.

The Liverpool Echo reports that one attendee described the event as a "s**t show" and an "absolute shambles", with claims that the festival ran out of alcohol by 5:30PM, hours before it was due to end.

One attendee complained on Facebook that bar staff were unsanitary, claiming that one staff member put her hands in the same ice bucket that was being used in people’s drinks.

Events company Dyard Events alleged to Cornwall Live that the 10 DJs and two dancers it had booked to perform have yet to be paid. "No one from the event has been in touch. They just don’t care," they claimed.

The company's owner also claimed that the stage their artists were booked to perform on was simply a gazebo with a table underneath it, leaving the artists to "laugh their way through" their performances.
