Small Biz Shoutout 📣

Just wanted to mention a UK designer maker I found on here called - My ancient peg bag has finally fallen to bits so I’ve recycled that one and invested in this little beauty! Properly recyclable packaging (hello paper tape) organic cotton, hand printed,
hand made.. gorgeous! (Large cat included for size comparison purposes) 😺

Is it any less annoying in greyscale?

Probably not right? I tried this for the first time last night, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with how smug it's made me today. But it's nice to take a 2 minute break and join in a silly movement every once in a while!

Still doing cards this year, just 😅

I’ve had lots of lovely client work recently, and on top of all the Christmas madness and prepping for a holiday to France that went pop with 10 days to go… Frankly, it’s been a lot.

I did manage to get a few cards out to my nearest and dearest (I’ll spare you the cheesy photo of my family!) They were printed in no time by the ever brilliant on 100% recycled and recyclable card, Kraft paper envelopes, and beautifully wrapped using paper tape too!

So what’s the verdict on cards these days? Have you guys gone full digital, eco paper, or just not having it any more?

Did you get your CJD on?

I worked onsite in a lovely studio today and was masking up to try and protect our upcoming family holiday (first time abroad for us all in two and half years so everything’s crossed!)

But Christmas Jumper Day must go on and so I donned my own design - available from - and made my donation online. It’s happening… 🎄

I’ve um’d and ah’d for ages about whether to resurrect my side hustle the for Christmas. After a mad few weeks workwise I found myself with a spare moment to have a play with something I’ve been wanting to do, and this little design is now up on the website with a couple of other Christmas jumper options. I’m not massive fan of buying new Christmas jumpers every year. But is a charity close to my heart so I always donate proceeds on Christmas Jumper Day, and offer options for those who like their festive sweaters a little more subtle, organic, sustainable and recyclable.

Waste Age 🌍

There’s a lot in the news about Cop26 in Glasgow this week. If it’s got you feeling icky about our throw away culture and the state of our planet, there’s a brilliant exhibition currently on at the Design Museum in London. A wealth of talented designers and entrepreneurs are featured, with clever ways to reinvent our relationship with waste.

Of course I was drawn to the ocean plastics (6600 bottle tops collected in one month by volunteers from the Cornish Plastic Pollution Coalition) and all the exciting new products that can be made from ghost fishing nets. The aqua green colour in these products is such a pure indication of raw materials that’ve been lovingly turned into something else.

This is just a tiny selection of all the brilliant stuff to see. On til Feb 2022, I highly recommend a trip down there for inspiration for the whole family!

Did you see it? 🌘

Unless you’ve been under a (third) rock this week in Tunbridge Wells, you couldn’t miss the fact we had a moon landing right in the centre of our town among many other Puppetry Festival events.

One of the many reasons we relocated our family was to get more involved in brilliant experiences like the

From model making to free street theatre and the beautiful experience, it has been a brilliant! Sadly no moon selfies for me as by the end of the weekend we had one child isolating, so I played it safe and wandered down to the park, keeping my distance from the crowds, which felt even more special if I’m honest ✨

A big thank you to everyone involved in putting on the brilliant Puppetry Festival. Same again next year? 😊
