We are delighted to introduce our Key Note Speaker for the Tunbridge Wells MIYB Event on Friday 18th October 2024. Jenny Kitchen - Co Founder of Amplifi, a non profit organisation.
Amplifi is a Tunbridge Wells initiative bringing local businesses together around climate and sustainability. With the objective to reduce the noise around sustainability and facilitate learning and support, Amplifi strives to augment environmentally-conscious businesses and ignite real change.
Jenny also runs B Corp, Yoyo, a brand and digital agency helping good brands do great things, as well as sitting on the board of the Tunbridge Wells Business Improvement District.
As part of her focus on building meaningful connections, Jenny hosts monthly networking lunches for women from purpose-driven organisations, where they gather to share insights and advice on a range of important topics, like leading with compassion and finding time for growth and wellbeing.
Jenny has won several awards for business and entrepreneurship, and is continually recognised for her passion, ambition and kindness.

Calling all local businesses! It's our next Small Business Talks workshop for members and TN card partners tomorrow evening at Old Auction House, and it's going to be a cracker! This do-not-miss event series for small business owners provides invaluable insights from local business experts as well as the opportunity to meet others in our growing business community.

Our evening begins with networking from 6.30pm and at 7pm we hand over to our speakers for these four short talks:

Nat Sharp is founder of Sharp Thinking, a specialised consultancy focused on sales and marketing planning. With extensive experience in the field, Nat is a seasoned strategic consultant who has dedicated over two decades to helping businesses of all sizes (from Simmonds to The Financial Times) achieve clarity, structure, and efficiency. Nat will be sharing ten common marketing mistakes and how to avoid them.

Nick Lima is founder of TN partner RankFresh, an e-commerce, SEO and digital marketing agency. RankFresh helps small to medium-sized businesses grow online by identifying new opportunities and devising cost-effective digital strategies. Nick will discuss how to increase the number of quality visitors to our websites and convert them into sales, leads and enquiries.

Jenny Kitchen is CEO of Yoyo Design and co-founder of amplifi, a non-profit organisation helping to unify businesses around climate and the community. She will be sharing about amplifi which launched earlier this year, its mission to help make our community the most sustainable in the UK, and how we can get involved.

Donna Marshall is owner of TN partner Stampede Fashion & Footwear for kids, the award winning independent children's footwear store. Donna will be talking to us about her experiences in retail and her personal challenges balancing work, health and motherhood.

Making e-commerce websites tell a luxury brand story.

With this 30-minute design challenge, we wanted to take the amazing luxury Pure Table Top products and create a site that truly portrays this. We see it far too often where the brand and online experience are just not aligned. With the demise of the high street, websites need to work that much harder to create an in-store experience. Let us know what you think, or any e-commerce sites that just leave you missing that brand experience.
