Pairing Botanical Spirits with Sweet & Savoury Treats. Meet Zoe from Shed One (Distillery)

3pm Wednesday, 28th February

Zoe bakes & hosts a botanical-inspired Afternoon G&Tea at Shed One. Incorporating botanicals used in their Spirits, she's continued to create and tweak the edible treats. For this demo, Zoe will be talking about the inspiration for Shed One Botanical Spirits and how food complements them. There will be tasters of both spirits and treats.

Taking to the stage is Nina Matsunga, Louisa Clutterbuck, Flavour Blasters, Alcohol Free Drinks Company, Farrer’s Tea and Coffee Merchant and Shed One.

We have some very sad news this morning.

Our colleague and friend, the BBC Radio Cumbria presenter Simon Yaxley, has died.

Simon was found at his home in Carlisle yesterday afternoon.

He had been a BBC presenter for the past 5 years, and also worked for commercial radio in the county.

As well as broadcasting, his other passion was drama and he appeared in a number of performances at theatres in Cumbria and Lancashire.

Our condolences go to his family, friends and listeners.
