Best of luck to all crews competing in today's Wearside Targa Rally..... especially car 33....thank you Lynsey Procter for the photo that I've stolen! I'm sure you and Iain Tullie will be up there at the finish!

I've been rather quiet on here recently.... mainly because I've been busy with drawing upcoming event diagrams..... some are far afield as South America!

I've also had a bit of time away and I know I've missed shouting out about events over the summer using Motorsport Diagrams services....my apologies to those organisers.

Best of luck to all crews, marshals and the organisers of today's Nothern Dales Targa run by Hexham & District Motor Club. I say this about every event up here but you can't ask for a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere on a rally.

I was recently asked to produce a commemorative sticker in memory of Andy Manston.

The initial concept was given to me in the form of an AI generated image.....but it wasn't quite right and given I have known Andy for a few years I wanted it right and set about to improve on what AI had produced.

A frantic couple of days later and I had the below produced ready for Rally Navigation Training Services to visit the printers.

The image of Andy donning his blue tabard glued to a camera is one we all recognise at the side of events we've competed on. This colour is picked up through the accents in the text. The black random texture behind the text is actually from the very first Knutsford Targa Rally where I produced not only the diagrams but also the rally plates....this pattern is lifted directly off that rally plate graphic.....Andy was our official photographer that day and captured some epic shots so there's a nice connection there.

Best of luck to all crews, marshals and organisers on this weekend's "The Blue Streak Targa Rally" run by Spadeadam Motor Club. There's a day packed of action ahead so looking forward to hearing stories and seeing photos from the event. Stay safe everyone.

Incredibly sad news. Andy was such a nice guy and a huge supporter of rallying in general. Many of my favourite photos of my own rallying career were taken by Andy and will be cherished. Rallying will miss you Andy and our thoughts go out to your family.
