Social media is full of hateful cowards who hide behind their screens and keyboards. 👎

Social media is full of disgusting, misogynistic, racist homophobic and transphobic content published by individuals who want to spread hate.👎

BUT you can choose to do better, so if you want to post content, post content that inspires, teaches and brings people together. If you want to engage on people's videos, post comments that are kind and supportive. And if you dont agree with a video or how someone lives, but it doesn't affect the life of yourself or anyone else, then scroll on by.👍

Why? Because life is way too short to be hateful and divisive? When you're on old person, moments away from death, would you want to look back at your life and know you were a kind person? Or hateful?🌻

Are you too scared to show your real self on social media? 😐

💚Perhaps you have lots of friends and family on your socials and you're worried what they will think.

💚Maybe you're self-conscious on camera and don't like showing yourself.

💚You may not like the sound of your own voice

💚You find talking on camera weird and uncomfortable

The truth is - you won't level up your socials or build your community if you're not willing to show up on your socials. Viewers like to know who the person behind the brand is, and if you're not showing yourself, then people won't build a connection to your business or want to support it.

💚Worried what friends and family will think? Screw it! Let me talk if they want to. All you need to do is worry about yourself and your own progress, and if there are 'friends' laughing behind your back, perhaps they shouldn't be your friend.

💚Self-conscious? I get it, it will take time to feel comfortable showing yourself on socials. There's a lot of people that will love you and your content and if there's people that post mean comments, just block them and send them on their way!

💚Don't like the sound of your own voice? I can relate this, when I first started I would keep redoing the audio because the sound of my own voice made me cringe, but all I have to say is there will be a small percentage of people who do ACTUALLY like the sound of their own voice. Many people cringe at their own voice and will say "eurghh do I sound like that?" And will be more concerned at how their voice sounds than yours. Speak into that microphone and own it! 😁

💚Find talking to the camera weird and uncomfortable? Sadly, this will only get better with practice. Talking to a camera isn't natural - it's strange! When you first start, you will probably keep messing up your lines or may experience 'brain mush' where you have no idea what to say - it's not easy! Keep at it though, and you will get there. You can even get apps where you can add a teleprompter on your phone screen, so you can read your lines while filming, making it much easier.

Due to my rebranding and a heap of new followers lately, I thought I would re-introduce myself.

My name is Megan and I am a eco freelance social media manager and UGC creator for purpose-driven businesses. 💚

I live and breath sustainability, which is why I want to help sustainable businesses. I eat a vegan diet and absolutely love animals. I am passionate about protecting our beautiful planet - sometimes I do feel hopeless and struggle with eco-anxiety. 😢

A own a mazda bongo campervan which takes me on incredible adventures across the UK. I also own a gorgeous staffy x greyhound dog called Indie who is so beautiful inside and out.
