When you know what you want to achieve, you are halfway there to get it.

You must have a destination in mind. Without it, you can be moving very fast nowhere. 😱

I set personal and business goals. I plan my weeks with both in mind. I love my consulting business because my work makes massive shifts in peoples life, but I also love my blogging side of the business. The latter is like a playing ground, a place to learn, to inspire to entertain.

Both help me to live a life I love NOW.

Decisiveness and direction helps.

I used to struggle setting goals that, when achieved, will have an impact on my life. I had a vision for my life, and I saw the bigger picture and milestones but not the little steps.

I had to learn it if I wanted to be successful.

I think it was consistent inner work that helped me learn to make better choices. And inner work is precisely what I tell my consulting clients to do. 🙋🏻‍♀️🤗

Whether you want to grow longer hair, get fitter, travel the world or set up another revenue stream, you need to know what you are aiming for because when you don't know what port you are aiming for, no wind is a right win.

As Steve Jobs said, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in the future.

When you start working on your personal brand you have to connect the dots to understand the value you bring, so that you can later communicates the elements that will help you build the future you want.

You need to buy into your value before you try to sell it to others!

It was marvellous to be back in front of people, inspiring them to do better and be better by challenging their assumptions and showing the potential the technology in their pockets brings. 🎉🤓

Remember, the world already holds an opinion about you and puts you in categories.

You already have a personal brand.
If you choose to ignore it, you let others brand you.

A solid personal brand can bring opportunities, get you a promotion, new job or a client.

It's one of the most important assets you have. 🤩

Today I had a great business day and not so great personal afternoon. Sometimes it might be the other way round.

Do you know what is important in moments like this?

To take a break, do something that makes you happy. Gain perspective.

When you approach adversity with tiredness, it's easy to get defeated.

So I'm going to go for a walk, make a delicious dinner and relax.

Tomorrow I will tackle the situation on my terms. 🥳🙋🏻‍♀️

To know the principles of success and to know how to apply them are two different things!

Anyone can read a book or two and say they are an expert. Anyone can share advise online repeating what others said and claim it theirs.

🤔 So what does it take to show that there is more to your experience than just your word?

Let's use me as an example - close to home :)

It takes years of experience. And experience is doing!

Doing it for others.
Doing it for yourself! The latter has a lot of weight because it'll teaches you the reality behind the tactics & principles.

Finally, it's learning to get out of your way and embrace your differences.

🙋🏻‍♀️ I never used to talk about my background in political and personal marketing. And let's be honest, this is the hottest foundation for personal branding one can get!!

😱 I hardly ever used to talk about my blogging career , but it taught me more about building a brand online than any university could!!!

😬Finally, I disregarded years of my experience on stage and in front of the camera because I've done it for fun. Yet, that's what enables me to run talks and seminars that move my audience and challenge their assumptions.

Don't ever try to downplay your differences. That's your magic!

Are you overcommunicating?

One of the big mistakes I see my clients make is continuous over communication.

😣 People then get confused and don't understand how you help them and what makes you credible.

🤷🏻‍♀️ They don't understand how they can work with you

😴 They switch off from what you are saying.

How do you know you are over-communicating?

OFTEN PEOPLE DON'T REALISE IT UNTIL THEY WORK WITH ME, but you can ask yourself?

Do I see no offline results from my communication effort?
Do I feel overwhelmed when with the volume of content and marketing?
Does my content move my readers?
Do I plan and review my content?

It’s because of how you make them feel?
It’s because of what you they think it’s them
possible for them when they work with you. 🤑💰

So it does matter what people think and feel about you. It matters for your professional and personal success. 😍🤩
