Hello there!

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm taking a huge step in my career by changing my company name from 'Blackfell Photography' to 'Scott Wigglesworth - Freelance Photographer.'

It's time to step out of my comfort zone and take a risk in my beloved career, and I invite you to join me on this exciting journey.

I’m starting by placing my own name ahead of my work because I believe in quality and consistency above all else, and I’m proud to put name to it!

The decision to make this change wasn't easy, especially after years trading as Blackfell, but I believe it is progress towards my goal of becoming the best photographer I can be.

As a freelancer, I'm now more agile and adaptable to all kinds of photography projects. I'm ready to work with each and every one of you, and I'm eagerly looking for opportunities to collaborate with fellow photographers, agencies, and companies.

Seeing others push their boundaries, forcing themselves out of their comfort zones, has taught me the importance of taking risks and pursuing your goals. They inspire me to strive for excellence and never settle for mediocrity.

I'm excited to continue growing and evolving as a photographer, and I hope my journey can inspire others to forge their own path and pursue their passions.

This was the first image of the day from my last ever wedding shoot.

I’ve been shooting for almost 20 years as a professional photographer and in that time I’ve developed a sense of when I’m done with a particular area of the industry.

Since 2015 I’ve specialised and worked almost exclusively with commercial, editorial and industrial projects and clients. That is my happy place.

Why am I no-longer shooting weddings? Why would leave it behind?

Because I’ve seen all I need to see that makes shooting weddings interesting and unique.

I’ve shot all sizes and kinds of ceremony and celebrations and I’ve been fortunate enough to travel, meet beautiful people and be a part of the story for many gorgeous couples.

But, that said, I feel I’ve now thoroughly run the course.

Time to properly concentrate on the work that brings me the most joy.

Thank you to and for allowing me to be a part of their day, one of the most rock and roll weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure to attend.
