Haybergill Yoga Retreat

I am hosting a yoga retreat with a fellow yogi Karen the weekend of the 25th to the 27th August. This is a two-night retreat held at the lovely Haybergill Centre near Appleby North Lake District. The retreat is open to all and you can do as much or as little as you like; if you haven’t done yoga before you will be fine. All meals provided are vegetarian and dairy free/vegan/gluten free diets can be catered for if pre-advised.

The weekend is £320 each to share a room, which includes all food, tea and coffee over the weekend. A sample schedule is below:

Friday (check in anytime from 4pm for welcome tea and cake and allocation of rooms)
5.45pm Relaxing vinyasa flow yoga to unwind and de-stress
7pm Dinner

Saturday
8.15am Light breakfast snack and tea
9.30am -11.30am Energising yoga workshop to uplift
11.30 am Brunch
1.30pm to 3.30pm Afternoon guided walk or leisure time
4.40 to 6pm Yin yoga workshop
6.30pm Evening dinner
8pm Evening campfire under the stars – weather permitting

Sunday
7.30am Tea then Vinyassa morning flow class
9am Breakfast
10.30 to 12.30 Morning guided walk or leisure time
12.45 Sunday lunch and check out of rooms by 3pm

Limited Organic Facial Treatments and Holistic body massage 1 hour appointments will be available to book over the weekend at a cost of £40.

Whilst it is important to get out in the fresh air you still need to really look after your skin at this time of year. Layering products is key - serum, eye cream, facial oil then moisturise will keep skin nourished. Happy New Year’s Eve and drink plenty of 💦 water 💧🥰🥳

Mindful skin care ...everything that has been thrown at us this year and is still coming, might be taking its toll on our skin. Sitting in front of devices all day, changes in diet and drinking habits & wearing masks on and off all day will have an impact on our skin. Mindful skincare is about focusing on the present and noticing how your skin looks and changes. When applying your natural, plant-based products focus on what you are doing, how the products feel and smell, take your time applying them and notice how they feel in your hands and on your skin and spend that extra time massaging them in; reducing the stress and tension we can hold in our facial muscles.
