How has it been a year already?! 🎉

Today marks one year since Sophie Moulton joined Big Reputation as our Senior Creative.

Over the past 12 months, she’s brought brilliant ideas, bags of creativity and a seriously good eye for detail to the team. She’s helped our clients bring their brands to life and made everything we create look a whole lot better.

We’re so pleased to have you as part of the team Sophie.

Happy Big 3rd Birthday to us! 🎉

We’re celebrating our best year yet, filled with growth, new opportunities and plenty of memorable moments.

From moving into our new office and hosting our first event to welcoming three new clients just before our birthday, there has been lots to celebrate.

We’ve had our first client in to use our space for filming today!

They wanted to record some thought leadership style videos to help promote their leadership workshop running in September.

We have a few different sets and backdrops in our office so it’s the perfect place to create content.

Our Senior Creative, Sophie, knows her way around a camera.

In her latest blog, Sophie makes the case for why professional photography still belongs in your marketing budget and why leaning on stock images or smartphone snaps could be quietly costing you credibility.

Strong visuals do a lot of heavy lifting. They shape how people perceive your brand before they have read a single word. They build trust, communicate quality, and show the real people and real work behind your business.

In a world where AI-generated imagery is everywhere, authentic photography has never been more valuable. It's evidence and shows that your business actually exists, actually delivers and is confident enough in its work to show it properly.

Ultimately, great photography is one of the most commercially powerful tools a business can invest in.

Someone slid into Chelsea's DMs recently to congratulate her on growing Big Reputation while also leading her US softball team to success...

The problem was they clearly hadn't done any research, I've never even played softball, let alone coached a team.

It was funny, but it was also a perfect example of why so much outreach falls flat.

The business sending the message had tried to personalise it, but instead of making me feel understood, it made it obvious that nobody had properly checked who they were contacting.

A message that was probably intended to feel relevant and thoughtful ended up feeling lazy.

If your cold messages are getting ignored, it's rarely bad timing. It's usually because the message doesn't feel like it was written for the person reading it.

Details matter when it comes to product photography.

Even more so when the products are tiny!

We're working on a new ecommerce platform for a client who sells inserts.

As they're technical pieces with sometimes subtle differences, its important the details are shot clearly 📸

Its not every day you find yourself up a mast climber, creating content on a 13 storey building...

One of the reasons we love working with construction companies is because we get up close to the action.

We're great at travelling light and fitting in around a live work site. Often we're in and done within an hour so you can crack on with your job.

It comes down to great planning, upfront admin and risk assessments, knowing the industry and already having our own PPE.

Not to mention the commercial awareness to know that its not possible to shut down a site for half a day while we faff about with lights, heavy equipment and 'lets do another take'.

Like you, we want to get in and get the job done well.

Big Reputation’s new space will drive positive change. This office will help us to grow and deliver a better service to our clients.

The space is designed to drive the team's creativity, productivity and wellbeing. Here’s some of the cool features that make the office unique to us.

✅ Podcast sets – gives our podcast a home and enables other people to rent the studio out for a reasonable rate.

✅ Movable content sets – gives people different options for content shoots.

✅ Light box – gives our clients consistent product photographs.

✅ Board room – gives meeting space for us and other businesses who want to hire it out.

✅ Collaborative desk space – for the team and clients to work together creatively.

✅ Bar – brings people together at our events and is a nice focal point.

On Friday we hosted the first event at our new HQ.

Build a brand that wins you business had a great turn out and our fantastic speakers imparted their wisdom to a full audience.

Chelsea Spencer MCIM took us through how our brand and values has served as a decision making framework while growing Big Reputation.

Vanessa Fuller shared how building a personal brand can bring unimaginable opportunities for you and your business.

Ben Morton shared how custom software can help you tailor your customer experience to enhance your brand.

Karen Lewis explained the importance of investing in your brand with purpose and having a goal in mind with your marketing.

Vince Hannant shared his story on taking a start up business through IPO and how careful consideration of brand in customer delivery helped to control standards during rapid growth.

Thank you to everyone who came to our event and shared our new space with us.
