The Makers Shropshire are doing an art exhibition to raise money for the restoration of Perches House. I decided to get involved 😊 the idea is a ‘Town in a Tin’, artwork must fit in a sardine tin. I delivered mine today to Shrewsbury Market. I really enjoyed doing it, I’ve even managed to get some more tins so I can do some more ideas 😂
My idea is made out of air drying clay, with hidden screws & wood for structure, then painted with acrylic paint. It can either be hang up or it as a stand. All artwork will be on display on Tuesday 18th August and sold off.

Ruby — Acrylic on Canvas (61 × 45.5 cm)

This portrait was painted in memory of Ruby - German Shepherd. A much-loved companion and gentle soul.
I wanted to capture her calm presence, her warmth, and that familiar way she would rest and quietly watch the world go by.

Working on this piece was both emotional and healing, a reminder of how deeply animals become part of our families and our lives.

I started this painting 12 months ago, but it got put on hold after I fractured my arm & so did my challenge of 12 paintings in 12 months. Hopefully I can start that challenge again at some point.
