We wrote about AI slop last week and so this week we wanted to give you some of the best features of AI.
We use it, everyday, on most things. It would be a bit odd to run a digital agency in 2026 and pretend otherwise.
There’s a finding in ISBA’s 2026 survey of 200 UK advertisers that’s worth looking at though. Almost all of them, (99%), have started using some sort of generative AI in some form and 65% use it regularly. Only 14% reported a significant impact on their business results.
The split between those two groups is the most interesting part. Business’s who brought AI in to improve their marketing were twice as likely to report a significant impact than the ones who brought it in to be more efficient. Same tools, different reason for using them.
That matches our experience, for what it’s worth.
The jobs it’s good at for us, are the ones that to take longer than needed. Going through a year of data and finding the pattern. Writing descriptions for multiple product pages. Getting a rough first draft down that we can evolve, this is much easier than staring at nothing. Testing fifteen ad headlines instead of the four we’d have had time for and creating graphics that we can adapt in Canva or Adobe.
Where it falls over is anything needs real judgement. It hasn’t sat in the client meeting. It doesn’t know the MD “solutions”, or that last year’s campaign didn’t do as expected for reasons that had nothing to do with the ads.
So use it. Just be honest about which of those two things you’re using it for, because the survey suggests it makes quite a difference.
Curious how other people are finding it?
