Ally Pally Poems started with a poem I wrote for a friend when she had her second baby last year. I’ve always loved writing and was a full-time copywriter until I had my daughter in 2013. The idea for a poem about a family of three becoming four just popped into my head. I had it printed on posh card and framed it with some family photos. I’ve made ‘thoughtful’ presents before – sadly, not with professional results! From brownies to paintings, they’ve often got a ‘Well, it’s the thought that counts’ sort of response. And I totally agree – so why not put those thoughts on paper (or posh card) so they last forever? I think words really can make the best gifts (not just because I can’t bake or paint!) and I love helping people find exactly the right ones. Ally Pally Poems also has ‘ready-written’ poems for occasions from Valentine’s Day to Christmas, and I’m adding more all the time.
