Fresh data from a 2026 study of 673,000+ LinkedIn posts:

📊 Multi-image/carousel posts: 3.71% engagement rate
📉 Standard video posts: 1.80% engagement rate
📉 Single image posts: 1.81% engagement rate

Carousels also earn 1,451 avg impressions per post vs 605 for video.

Meanwhile, overall LinkedIn engagement is UP — average engagement rate moved from 12.21% to 13.90% between 2025 and 2026.
