Here's a benefit of working with The Social Handgrenade that nobody puts on a brochure, mainly because it terrifies people.

I will tell you the truth.

Not the polite version. Not the "it's looking really promising" version agencies serve up while your enquiries flatline. The actual truth. Your homepage is confusing. Your bio reads like a hostage statement. That campaign you love is doing nothing. Nobody cares about your "passion for quality service."

I know. Rude. But think about who's currently telling you the truth about your marketing:

→ Your team? They work for you. They're not going to call your logo ugly.
→ Your mates? They're too busy liking your posts out of loyalty.
→ Your customers? They don't complain. They just quietly go somewhere else.

So you end up with a marketing echo chamber where everyone nods and nothing works.

Working with me means you have someone outside the jar reading the label. Someone who isn't emotionally attached to the tagline you wrote at 2am, and who'll tell you kindly, with evidence and a clear fix, what needs to change.

Uncomfortable? Sometimes. Useful? Always.

If you're ready for someone to stop nodding and start helping, message me.

Personal branding isn’t about looking perfect, having the most polished feed, or trying to be someone you’re not. It’s about showing up consistently, sharing what you genuinely stand for, and creating an experience people remember.

The strongest personal brands are recognisable, trusted and authentic. They reflect your values, your expertise and the way you make people feel, not just the image you want to project.

Because your personal brand is built in every interaction, conversation and piece of content.

What do people say about you when you’re not in the room?

Still trying to manage your own marketing between meetings, suppliers, staff dramas and the endless list of tasks that come with running a business?

You’re not alone. Many business owners find themselves squeezing marketing into the gaps between everything else, often late at night or during the weekend.

But is it really working? Are you seeing consistent results, reaching the right audience and having enough time to focus on the parts of your business that only you can do?

Outsourcing your marketing could give you more than just extra hours in the week. It could provide the skills, strategy, consistency and honest outside perspective needed to move your business forward.

Imagine having someone who can take your ideas, turn them into effective content and campaigns, and keep your marketing moving—even when your schedule is already full.

What’s holding you back from exploring the possibility? Budget, control, trust or simply not knowing where to start?

Posting twice this week will not magically fix a feast or famine cycle, unless your entire growth strategy is based on hoping the algorithm wakes up in a generous mood.

Sustainable growth comes from consistent outreach, meaningful conversations, thoughtful follow ups, and building real relationships over time. It does not come from disappearing for three weeks, posting twice on Tuesday, and then wondering why your inbox is quieter than a library at midnight.

Occasional bursts of activity can feel productive, but they are not a strategy. They are more like panic with a content calendar.

What outreach strategies have helped you create more consistent results without relying on last minute posting marathons and algorithmic miracles?

Unpaid invoices dragging on with zero communication? So frustrating!

At least I’ve got brilliant clients who make me laugh and smile. Their support means everything ❤️

Now, who’s joining me at Ministry of Sound tomorrow for 9 hours of Hardcore? Pray for my survival! What are you up to this weekend?

Ever notice how the real rainmakers aren’t the ones shouting the loudest? They’re quietly stacking wins behind the scenes. All because they actually follow up. No gimmicks, no smoke and mirrors, just pure results.

Yet here you are, hustling hard, running campaigns that scream “buy now!”... only for your leads to vanish into thin air before you even get to second base. That’s cash slipping through your fingers. Painful, right? 😅

Ready to make follow-up a breeze? Hit us up for your custom toolkit.

Drop a comment, slide into our DMs, or ping us at [email protected]. We’ll hook you up.

Don’t let all your effort (and hard-earned leads) go to waste. Friendly reminder: your future self, and your bank balance, will be grateful.

You are not alone! In fact a recent study found that 93% of small businesses struggle with at least 1 of these 5 common issues.

Networking is easy. Following up is where most people disappear. You meet someone interesting, exchange contact information, and promise to stay in touch.

BUT

Then busy schedules take over and the conversation fades away. A thoughtful follow-up can turn a brief introduction into a meaningful professional relationship. What’s your top tip for following up and staying connected?

“Post your service… and ghost yourself.”
That’s what most people do when they treat their account like a brochure.

But here’s the problem: your offer isn’t the only thing people buy.
They buy trust.
They buy proof you’re real.
They buy the fact that you’ll answer when they message you at 11:47pm.

Personal posts give you that.
Not random oversharing—strategic “this is how I think / what I’m building / what I’d do in your situation.”
And yes, they can be sarcastic. We’re not trying to win a corporate award.

Try this: one personal post per week.
Show the messy middle (without the trauma).
Then point back to what you do.

Want help building a personal-post system that fits your life (and doesn’t burn you out)? Book a call.
