Apparently today is arm day at WeAre Embroidery & Printing. 💪😂

One of my lovely regular customers has recently changed their logo, which means their workwear is getting a bit of a makeover.

So today I’ve been busy heat pressing the new design onto T-shirts — and thought I’d give you a little time-lapse of the process.

What the video doesn’t adequately demonstrate is the RESISTANCE ON THAT HEAT PRESS. 😳

Honestly, by the time I’ve finished this order I’m expecting to emerge from the workshop looking like Conan the Barbarian.

Personalised workwear and a free upper-body workout.

Who needs a gym membership? 😂💪

Taking a break this weekend (as every year) I will be here for the entire weekend. Not working, but joining my Dad's brothers for a celebration of the greatest Regiment in the entire world (my opinion, you may have yours...save it...don't want to hear it!) Not sure yet if I am marching in the Parade on Saturday but I will definitely be supporting. Come & say hi xx

Yesterday we lost a legend. Our Queen, Dolly Parton. 💔

Like so many of you, I haven’t lived a single day in a world that Dolly Parton wasn’t in.

I was brought up with Country Music as a staple, and Dolly was always one of my favourites. There was so much fun in her music, so much love, so much heart — and usually a little bit of mischief too.

As I got older, and social media gave us glimpses of people that we never really got from ordinary television, I came to admire Dolly for so much more than her music. Those little snippets of her interactions with people showed a woman with a wicked sense of humour, enormous kindness, incredible strength and a character I wish I had even half of.

Celebrity deaths are strange. We don’t know these people, and yet some of them have been woven into the fabric of our lives for so long that losing them genuinely hurts.

This one hurts.

But I think the best way I can honour Dolly is to carry on trying to live by the words on a sign that hangs in my dining room:

“What would Dolly do?”

I’ve looked at those words countless times. Today, they mean just a little bit more.

Bless you, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the laughter, the outrageousness, the kindness and for showing generations of women that you could be feminine, funny, clever, strong, successful and completely, unapologetically yourself.

We will always love you. ❤️

Rest easy, Queen Dolly. 👑✨

Day 1 post-Dublin break… DONE! ☘️😂

I have responded to MANY emails and messages, finished some orders, started others, shuffled approximately 847 pieces of paper around my desk and generally attempted to remember what on earth I was doing before I disappeared for a week. 😂

I have also made two mugs of coffee and thrown both of them away because I let them go cold. And no, I will NOT reheat coffee in the microwave. I have standards. And I’m certainly not risking angering the Coffee Gods. ☕️😳

If I haven’t replied to you yet — I will, I promise. 💕

Please just remember that it’s only me here, and apparently taking one little week off results in the sort of paperwork normally associated with a small government department. 😂

I’m also still recovering from being awake for 24 hours straight on Friday, courtesy of the Gods of Travel Disruption, so there may currently be slightly more chaos than usual behind the scenes.

But I’m back. I’m working through it. And judging by my desk, I’m going to be here for a while… 😂🧵☕️

Normal service will resume shortly.

Or at least my version of normal service. Which, to be fair, has always been questionable. 😂💕

I was brought up to believe that you should never give with the expectation of receiving anything in return. Those who know me know I genuinely love making gifts and doing little extras for people simply because it makes me happy.

But every now and then, it's lovely to be on the receiving end too.

These beautiful flowers arrived today via as a thank you for some gifts I'd made, and I was completely taken by surprise. 💐

A simple "thank you" can mean more than people realise, and gestures like this remind you that kindness really does come full circle.

To the lovely chaps who sent these... thank you. You absolutely made my day. ❤️
