How far would you go for FREE chicken strips? 👀

WELL this weekend, I had a bit of an incident 😂

My bestie took me away for a surprise weekend as a belated birthday treat and we went to Delapré Abbey Food Festival, which was delightful, and then onto a lovely hotel stay.

Popped in for a little swim, sauna and steam room. Also delightful.

Then we went back to the room and I thought I'd have a nice little shower before dinner, which ended in me slipping over and faceplanting the bath... doh! 🤦‍♀️

Even had a visit from the hotel first aider, armed with ice and plasters. I'm now sporting a slightly swollen and bruised cheek (you can't really tell, thank goodness), a cut finger, steri-strips on my elbow and a very purple leg!

To top it all off, my bestie had to sign the accident report as my responsible adult for the evening 😂

After the poor lady sorted me out, she said, "Do you need anything else?"

I said, 'Yes... chicken!'

So she kindly gave me some chicken strips on the house hahaha.

If you happen to see me hobbling around like a crab this week, well now you know why 😂

Yes, there are photos of the injuries. No, I'm not posting them 😂

On the plus side, the chicken strips were excellent 😂💜

It's Friday, it's the start of the bank holiday AND it's my birthday 🎉

I might hate Christmas, but you best believe I LOVE birthdays!

I don't care what age you are.. 64, 20, 36... take the day off!
Do your thing, celebrate however you want. Celebrate YOU 🎉

I'm off to do all the things this weekend, starting now... lunch, dinner, cinema, seaside, bingo, bbq. I don't know what else 😂

My phone hasn’t stopped pinging over the weekend, which has left me feeling very proud and humbled 💜

It led on to some reflection…

Just over two years ago when I started as a Virtual Assistant in the self employed world, I thought: ‘This will be easy and I’m virtual so won’t need to speak to anyone really… PERFECT.’ 😂

Well, I was very wrong about that.

As my adopted business Mum Rianne Scott kindly pointed out, when she first met me (10 years ago?!), I wouldn’t even answer the phone because I didn’t want to speak to anyone… now I’m doing networking, presentations and speeches in front of 40 people. Like who am I? 😂

3 years ago I wouldn’t even drive to Kettering, now I’ve driven in cities and all the way to Cornwall 🚗

I haven’t only built a business, I’ve grown as a person and so many other opportunities have opened for me, which is wild.

So, here is your Monday motivation: Do the things that scare you.

You best believe I’ve thrown up before a big day because of nerves and I’ve sweated my t**s off standing up in front of everyone 😂 but I’m still here to tell the tale and it’s all been totally worth it 💜✨️

WELL… I don’t even know where to begin 🥹❤️

Yesterday’s Fabulous Females Northamptonshire launch was honestly amazing (if I do say so myself 😂)

The atmosphere was incredible, everyone was so lovely and we all just had the BEST time.

A huge thank you to Joanna Potter at Revive Skin and Sculpt for sponsoring the event. Because of you, we were able to gift everyone the beautiful FF journals ❤️

Honestly, I felt like a little celebrity yesterday. Thank you so much to everyone who attended, supported and helped make the day what it was. I’m so glad you all enjoyed it.

Fabulous Females was created so ambitious women can rise together and yesterday I truly felt that ❤️

I’ve been a bit quiet on socials lately... 👀

Been such a busy bee! From public speaking training, google workshop, expo, meetings, networking, presentations, client work to poorly bunny rabbits in the bath and falling over in the middle of Thrapston High Street (don't ask 😂)

I always say that consistency is key with social media which it definitely is, but as my mother always said... do as I say, not as I do 😉

Are you a morning person? I’m definitely not 😂

I'm fine once I'm up, but my bed keeps me hostage every morning.

Lately I’ve been feeding the lambs a few mornings a week at the lovely time of 6am 🐑 (not sure I mentioned it?!)

This early morning lark has definitely made my days more productive, but..

Lamb feeding is nearly over, so I need something else fun to get me up and out before work.

Any ideas?
