This shop is delightful. Stop in and have a browse. It's across from the Long Story Bistro.

We’re very well known for our bath products and home fragrance, but Sage & Bumble is actually so much more than a bath and candle shop.

We have skincare, French soaps, gifts, cards, little bits for the home, a small pet range and plenty more besides.

Some of it is made by us in the Bumblery, some comes from other small businesses and artisans, and we’re also local stockists for a small number of brands we’ve chosen because we rate their products.

I’m incredibly fussy about what makes it onto our shelves. The quality has to be there, and it has to feel right for Sage & Bumble.

We also get new things in quite regularly, and often in fairly small numbers. Sometimes we'll restock them, sometimes they really are a case of once they're gone, they're gone.

It means there’s usually something new appearing amongst the old favourites.

Music at the Wells Food Festival coming up October 11th. It's an amazing day all over Wells.

While Wells Food Festival is, of course, all about the food, we’ve also got a fantastic line-up of local talent to keep you entertained throughout the day.

At the Bandstand in the Recreation Ground, festival favourites Harlem Rhythm Cats will be performing swinging classics from the 1940s and 50s all afternoon, while pupils from Wells Cathedral School will take to the stage in the morning.

Over on Swan Green, beside the English Wine Marquee, festival favourite Sam Evans will be performing throughout the day, blending swing and soul with folk, blues and reggae to create his distinctive sound.

On Cathedral Green, enjoy live music from Trowbridge-based singer Josh Blake, a finalist in The Voice Kids 2025 and a huge hit with festival-goers last year.

Meanwhile, by the fountain in the Market Place, Captain Crusty & the Pickled Herrings will be bringing their wonderfully unique take on sea shanties, from traditional favourites to modern classics. Later in the day, Wells Cathedral School will return with a selection of instrumental performances.
