Extra Care Housing in Whitby - find out more and have your say next Tuesday at the library…

North Yorkshire Council plan to expand the number of extra care housing schemes across the County and develop community hubs in some of these schemes.

The Council has completed an initial desk top review of the need for Extra Care Housing in Whitby and the key findings from this show that the demand is high.
It would therefore like to invite you to a community engagement event on 8th September 2026 in Whitby Library between 10am - 4pm.
This event is to seek your views on the sort of services and facilities that could potentially be included in a scheme in Whitby and for the local community to come and find out about Extra Care Housing and express their views also.

Please also complete our online survey, which is live from now until the 15th September 2026 and available here;
