Have you ever thought about writing a LinkedIn article but weren’t sure if it’s worth the time? 💻

While regular posts are great for visibility, LinkedIn articles give you the space to go deeper and show real expertise. They work well because they:

Go beyond surface-level content, allowing you to explore topics in more depth and share meaningful insight.

Position you as a knowledgeable voice, not just someone posting quick updates.

Create content with longevity as the articles stay on your profile and keep working over time.

Support your wider activity - from campaign breakdowns to industry trends and opinion pieces.

They’re a simple way to build credibility with anyone who visits your profile.

This week at Briscoe PR… ✨

⭐️ Last Friday, Kevin, Becca, Harriet and Bella visited the Kimbridge Barn Pizza Night to create content for social media. Capturing authentic moments, reactions and atmosphere helps audiences feel part of the experience which a powerful form of storytelling that builds engagement for future events.

⭐️ Bella visited White Horse Otterbourne for a content collection visit, capturing 70+ video clips and nearly 80 edited photographs. The content is being used to promote the venue’s garden space, outdoor kitchen and bar ahead of the sunny Bank Holiday forecast, while also building momentum for their upcoming Garden Party later this month.

⭐️ On Thursday, Kevin attended an Insider Media round table discussion on leadership at the Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl alongside business leaders from across the South. The discussion explored leadership in modern business, with Kevin sharing insights from his own career and experiences.

Kevin was also at Fratton Park for a Network My Club event, continuing to strengthen relationships within the local business community. Events like these are a valuable opportunity to connect with businesses across a wide range of industries, share ideas and support collaboration across the region.

⭐️ Becca has been driving awareness and engagement for our hospitality clients ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend. Her recent newsletters achieved an impressive 59% average open rate 🎉
Alongside this, she’s been boosting excitement using a multi-channel approach including SMS marketing, app notifications, Instagram stories, social posts and local Facebook groups designed to maximise visibility where audiences are most active.

⭐️ On Tuesday, Harriet joined a virtual classroom session for her PR apprenticeship focused on Project Management, led by Emanuela Giangregorio. The session provided practical skills and ideas she can apply to future client campaigns and planning.
She has also completed the June social media calendar for Boathouse Swanwick and created all of the assets for Briscoe PR with a focus on making posts more engaging through increased use of carousel content.

⭐️ On Thursday afternoon, Harriet and Bella enjoyed the Afternoon Tea event at Lancaster Court. An excellent excuse for a short break between content creation and client work 🍰

Ever wondered why some business leaders seem to build such strong engagement online, while others struggle to cut through? More often than not, it comes down to personal branding.

People want to see the faces behind a business. They’re naturally more interested in who is leading it, what their perspective is and what they stand for. That human connection is what turns passive followers into an engaged audience.

By showing up consistently and sharing insight into your industry, you can position yourself as a knowledgeable voice in your sector. Over time, this builds credibility and makes people far more confident in your expertise.

It’s not about being everywhere or sharing everything, it’s about being visible in a way that feels authentic and adds value. When people feel like they know you, they’re far more likely to trust your business.

This week at Briscoe PR…

⭐️ On Tuesday, Kevin headed to The Hut on the Isle of Wight with Bizpedia for a networking lunch (after a very wet RIB Shack Marine ride across the Solent!) Alongside great food, there were valuable conversations with local business leaders, including Dave Green from Lightning Fire Safety Systems

Later in the week, Kevin attended the Hampshire Fare networking event at The Kings Head in Hursley, continuing to build relationships and connections across the regional business community.

Kevin also met Alison from Alison Craig Coaching for lunch at Boathouse Swanwick, where discussions covered all things business, including Alison’s Leadership Essentials Programme. They shared ideas around leadership development, growth and supporting businesses to thrive.

⭐️ This week was big milestone week for Harriet, who is now officially over 6 months into her apprenticeship! She had both her apprenticeship Progress Review with her coach and line manager, as well as her Professional Development Review with Sam and Becca. Strong progress has been recognised and new professional development targets have been set for the months ahead.

Harriet also visited Boathouse Swanwick during the British Motor Yacht Show, capturing over 100 photos and videos to use on social media across the event weekend. These assets will be used to promote the venue and encourage visitors throughout the show. Creating real-time, engaging content extends the reach of the event!

⭐️ Bella has been developing and implementing a promotional strategy for Kimbridge Barn's upcoming Summer Sundowner event. The campaign combines social media, print media and tactics designed to reach audiences across multiple touch-points. A big focus has been on meeting audiences where they are and adapting content and channels to work with ever-changing algorithms and make sure the right people are seeing the event at the right time. Strategic visibility is key, especially for events that rely on strong local engagement and ticket sales.

⭐️ Becca has been writing email newsletters for all Ideal Collection venues, helping clients communicate directly with engaged audiences and keep upcoming events, menus and offers front of mind. Email marketing is one of the strongest ways to meet audiences where they are, and the focus has been on creating content that cuts through crowded inboxes and drives action from the right people.

She also presented and developed the business development plan she has been working on during the monthly team meeting, helping shape future growth opportunities for Briscoe PR.

⭐️ And finally… it was Doughnut Day at Lancaster Court 🍩 Harriet and Bella enjoyed a Krispy Kreme each - essential fuel for a busy week!

🚨 Help, we’ve got a crisis! 🚨

Your campaign has gone live… but it’s not landing how you expected. The message is being interpreted differently and the conversation is shifting.

Here are five ways to handle a misinterpreted campaign:

Pause and assess – Take a step back to understand what’s being said and where the misunderstanding is coming from.

Don’t get defensive – Focus on listening rather than immediately correcting or pushing back.

Clarify your intent – Share a clear, considered explanation of the message and what was meant.

Take accountability if needed – If something hasn’t landed well, acknowledge it openly and honestly.

Adjust your approach – Be prepared to refine or pull elements of the campaign if necessary.

How a campaign is received matters just as much as how it was intended.

Save this post for when you need a quick reminder 😊
