♻️ Recycle Week 2026: Durable Is Sustainable

Recycling matters but so does preventing waste in the first place and that’s why we put so much thought into specifying the right materials, producing graphics properly and helping customers look after them once they’re installed.

In September 2023, we produced and installed graphics across more than 120 vehicles for the SUEZ waste and recycling contract in Milton Keynes.
Nearly three years later, we returned to see how they were performing, and they still looked remarkably fresh.

When graphics last longer, they don’t need to be prematurely stripped, reprinted, repacked, transported and replaced. That means less material, less waste, less disruption and better value over time.

That’s what we mean when we say durable is sustainable.

♻️ Recycle Week 2026: Keeping Useful Materials Useful in Whitland

At MOBAD, we retain suitable production offcuts and look for ways to use them rather than automatically treating them as waste.

Through our Whitland High Street signage initiative, we produced free signs, mainly using usable offcuts for independent businesses where we felt a new sign could make a real difference. We’ve already identified more businesses for the next round.

We’ve also used our materials, time and skills to support Whitland Community Shed, which brings local people together to make, repair and repurpose. It’s reuse rather than recycling: keeping useful materials in use while doing something positive for our community.

A leftover panel becomes a new sign, a local business gets a helping hand, and our High Street looks a little better.

♻️ Recycle Week 2026: Making Our Packaging Easier to Recycle

It’s Recycle Week, so we’re starting with something every customer sees when a MOBAD order arrives: the packaging!
For years, we’ve been buying and reusing cardboard supplied through SUEZ Recycling & Recovery. We’ve also replaced plastic packing tape and document wallets with paper alternatives.
That means our smaller packages, from the cardboard box to the tape and address wallet can go straight into recycling together. No separating materials. No hidden plastic. No unnecessary hassle for the person receiving it.
For larger and more awkward shipments, we sometimes still need extra protection to prevent damage. We’re honest about that, because a product arriving damaged and needing to be remade creates waste too.
It isn’t about pretending we’ve solved everything. It’s about making practical improvements wherever we can and continuing to look for better options.

A clean roof wrap on a customer’s BMW.

This was fitted using knifeless tape, which means we can get a sharp, tidy finish without cutting directly on the paintwork.
It’s one of those jobs where the detail matters, good prep, careful fitting and the right method make all the difference.

A little SUEZ round trip for Dave in the sunshine.
Two smaller vehicles in Maldon and Southend, including the Goupil, which we have to admit is very cute ☺️
Both sites are closed on Mondays, so we were able to plan the work together in one trip. Better for the customer, better for mileage, and a bit better on emissions too.
Small vehicles, practical planning, job done.

My new office wall is up... it’s only a small space, but I wanted to make it feel personal. Really pleased with how it’s turned out.

More Renault Trucks 24/7 breakdown vans ready for work.

We’ve been supplying Renault Trucks vehicle graphics kits across the UK for more than 20 years. Most are shipped out for dealerships to install locally, but some prefer us to take care of the whole job. These recent vans were completed for sites in the Midlands, Reading and Dunstable.

The important thing with a fleet like this is consistency. We use the same specified materials, colours and production methods year after year, so every new van looks like it belongs, with no cheaper substitutions or slightly different versions appearing across the network.

Because we produce so many of these kits, we can also keep the price competitive without compromising on the materials or quality.
Supplied as a complete kit or fitted by our team, the result should always look the same.

Every year, we print a fresh batch of Pauline Beynon art reproductions for The Bug Farm in St Davids.

Pauline’s colourful Pembrokeshire landscapes remain incredibly popular, and it’s always lovely seeing them come through the workshop, especially as we have a few signed prints at home ourselves.

Each piece is printed onto vinyl using our solvent-free printers, matte laminated and mounted onto aluminium composite, ready to display or frame.
This year involved a little extra work. Since the previous batch, we’ve installed new printers, so we carried out colour testing and calibration to make sure the finished prints stayed faithful to the familiar originals.
