We are Linux Internet, a well-established Whitley Bay based digital studio. Over the past 18 years, we have been helping a wide range of SMEs in a variety of industries. Our team specialise in digital services such as web design, web development, e-commerce, graphic design, print design, branding and hosting.
We are searching for a motivated, talented and hardworking developer/designer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will work as part of our digital and design team, taking projects from brief to completion and for smaller projects working with clients directly. The role would be ideally suited to a creative individual, someone who enjoys using their initiative and has an aptitude to problem solve.

Essential Skills
Proficient understanding of web mark-up, HTML5 and CSS3
A Basic PHP and JavaScript understanding
Previous experience working with WordPress or other content management systems
Ability to create custom responsive themes and templates
Proficient understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite or similar software
A Basic knowledge of e-commerce platforms
Self-assurance to design and execute concept of competitive pitches, marketing collateral and other deliverables
Be able to take complex briefs from clients and manage a project from start to finish
Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy
You should also ideally have 1+ year experience in a similar role
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of FTP, MySQL, Apache and basic server configuration
Experience of working with APIs, XML feeds or other data feed configurations
SEO, PPC or any other digital marketing knowledge
UX understanding, aware of modern trends and concepts for desktop and mobile as well as being fully aware of SEO importance within design specifications
Experience with Mail Chimp or other email marketing software
