Not every WagAfari tale stars a dog… sometimes a puffin in coral-tipped shoes steals the spotlight! 🐧🧡 This unique and inspirational poem celebrates acceptance in the most unexpected of characters - a reminder that every journey is beautiful in its own colours!

🧡 Coral-Tipped Shoes 🧡

High over sea cliffs a lone puffin flies,
a blaze of bright colour against storm-darkened skies.
He searches the waves with a wondering gaze,
adrift in the hush of the sea’s silver haze.

The terns fly sleek in a silvery chain,
the cormorants shimmer like shadows in rain.
But puffin stands out in his coral-tipped shoes,
with his splashes of sunset and bright-paintbox hues.

He sighs as he looks at his tangerine feet.
His sunset-bright feathers, not ruffled, but neat.
"Why do I stand out in coral-tipped shoes,
when others wear nothing but silver-grey hues?”

The wind curls close, like a hush on the tide,
and whispers a truth he now keeps inside:
“You’re made to be different and brighten the skies.
A puffin in colours the world can’t disguise”

Now he soars through the breeze with a bright, fearless flair.
He’s proud of the colours he used to compare.
He dazzles the world with his bright-paintbox hues,
with his splashes of sunset and coral-tipped shoes

✨ The story of a little dog, waiting beneath the stars… still dreaming of his forever home ✨

‘A Starlit Wish’

The night sky sparkles with stories untold,
of twinkles and tail wags and pawprints of gold.
The dog gazes up to the bright skies above,
and whispers his wish, for a life filled with love.

A love that is real, and lasting and pure,
a place he belongs; where he’s safe and secure.
A hand on his paw, to guide him back home,
soft words in the dark so he’s never alone.

He waits for the sign that the starlight will send,
and dreams of the moment his waiting will end.
He believes in the stars; that their magic is true —
and that one day a voice will say softly, “It’s you.”

He sighs as he lies under stars shining bright,
with a heart full of hope, of his future in sight.
Not destined forever to stargaze alone —
He will one day be loved. He will one day be home.

Never Alone

Follow the path where my paws danced before,
to the places we wandered and will dream of evermore.
Don’t whisper goodbye, for we’re never apart —
I’m there in your soul and I’m etched in your heart.

You’ll find me in starlight and whispers of rain,
sending pawprints of love to your heart once again.
With me as your compass — your soul’s guiding star,
I’ll walk close beside you, no matter how far.

The days may seem dark — yet your hopes will shine bright,
so carry those hopes like ribbons of light.
Dance through the shadows, then gaze at the stars —
I’ll always be with you, wherever you are.

So, out of the darkness and into the light,
may hopes lift your spirit and dance through the night.
I’ll guide you to peace when the world feels unknown,
and wherever life takes you — you’re never alone.
