A little thought to take into the weekend.
If you’ve ever wondered whether storytelling really works in sales and marketing, trust me — it does. And unlike the online gurus who’ve only read about selling in a book, these little lessons come from someone who’s actually been out there doing it. (That's little me if you're wondering!)
Door‑knocking. Cold‑calling. Presenting every evening. Hearing “no” so many times I could’ve put it on my CV. And still showing up with a smile when all I wanted was to go home and buy that lucky lotto ticket.
So when I told a client yesterday to stop posting facts and figures about the service they are offering and instead, start telling stories, it wasn’t theory — it was experience. People buy on emotion, not logic. Stories make them feel something. Stories make them care. Stories sell.
