The Internet still assumes that services should listen on globally reachable ports.

That assumption made sense in the 1980s.

In 2026, it enables scanning, credential attacks, lateral movement, and entire security industries built around compensating for it.

We’ve been exploring a different model:

• no inbound listeners
• outbound-only, identity-bound sessions
• rendezvous instead of exposure

This isn’t a product pitch.
