The friendly faces, the casual chats with strangers, and the determination of businesses that have started from scratch remind me why I love this place so much.

Reflecting on my journey as a freelance social media manager in marketing, I’ve been there, striving for flawlessness only to feel stuck. But with time, I’ve found ways to navigate it more effectively.

Here’s what worked for me:
💡 Refining brief templates for clients
📞 Regular check-ins with clients rather than a one-off monthly call
☕ Working in new cafes to refresh perspective
🚶‍♀️ Taking midday walks to clear my mind
👯‍♀️ Quick call with family & friends for a mood boost
⏰ Blocking out my days for better productivity
🔍 Seeking feedback from mentors or peers to gain fresh insights
📊 Setting realistic goals and celebrating small wins along the way
📝 Embracing imperfection and learning from mistakes as part of the journey

Additionally, once a client has been signed on - creating a deck with the brand palette, typography and keywords to capture the vibe, look, and feel, along with a mood board of do’s and don’ts approved by the client, has been invaluable. It prevents fixating on potential themes that may not work for them, allowing for a more focused and efficient creative process.

Remember, progress is about embracing the journey, not just reaching the destination 🌟
