The UK remains a core manufacturing centre where the latest lean and automated techniques are utilised. Every JSP product is manufactured to conform to appropriate European, US and International performance specifications with testing carried out in our extensive BS EN IS09002 registered test laboratories. Our technical helpline and website provide a wealth of experience and information to help end users choose how to protect themselves against different applications. The new patented Filterspec which has won the 2011 Frost and Sullivan North America Product Innovation Award is such a case. Not only was it logical to integrate eye and respiratory protection into one harmonised unit, but also to enable protection in extreme environments. At -40 degrees Celsius, moisture emitting onto eyewear freezes immediately so a solution to eliminate mask leakage was needed. Filterspec’s integrated approach also enables a much improved face fit. This assists companies that must face fit test their employees with respiratory protective equipment as required now by the Health and Safety Executive.

This World Environment Day, the moment to act is now.🌍

Climate impacts are increasing, but so are the solutions. JSP is proud to be part of that progress.

We achieved Planet Mark certification, recognising the meaningful steps we’re taking to reduce our environmental impact. Through significant investment and action. In 2025, we delivered a 29% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions, an important milestone on our journey.

Our progress includes:
☀️ Installation of new solar (photovoltaic) panels, with further investment underway.
⚡ Green power purchase agreements in place across all UK and German sites.
🏭 Continued investment in more efficient manufacturing equipment, including injection moulding machinery, air compressors, and chilling systems.
🔍 Ongoing review and optimisation of manufacturing processes.
📊 Energy efficiency monitoring programmes, supported by employee training.

Every working environment presents different noise levels, and selecting protection that matches both exposure level and duration is critical for keeping workers safe and compliant.
Our graph shows each task's noise exposure, helping safety professionals choose the appropriate attenuation level for the job.
